The early dawn of 2014 gave birth to a dark and sinister new breed; a life form which breathes bleeding basslines. This was the birth of the drum&bass group Primal Instinct.

Primal Instinct consists of three versatile producers, who have all been honing their craft separately and producing drum&bass under different monikers. The union of these three individuals creates an almost magical synergy, and their sound is characterized by dark and sinister atmospheres carefully seasoned with ear bleeding harsh neurofunk basslines and funky beats. Their vision is to create drum&bass with a fresh edge.

Their debut single “Outbreak” was written in collaboration with bass-heavyweight Messinian, and was released on Brainshakaz in the summer of 2014. The first single was a great success and Primal Instinct immediately returned to the studio to start work on their second release entitled “Bloodshot”, which will be released on the legendary AK1200’s label Big Riddim Recordings; more information on that will be available soon.
