Back once again from the void, Namesis returns to Soma bringing along fellow traveller Yansyet for a blinding and inventive 4 track EP , The Shining. Never one to shy away from more obscure and bolder sonics, this coupling deliver another twisted and future facing release of cyber enhanced, EBM tinged tracks.

Title track 'The Shinning' reaches into the abyss with dark and emotive synths drenched in pure attitude before the punishing beats & shattering rhythms of 'I Mean' glide against a backdrop of future sleaze synthetics and dark ominous vocals. The slower pace of 'Glummy' doesn't detract from yet another twisted and affair as a more industrial elements course through its veins. 'Sad' closes out the EP pushing slashing, bussing synth stabs into the melodies as a burning 303 bass line causes tremors through its sub structure.

Floors Records is set to release a new vinyl project titled ‘Trinity Various’ at the end of May. The release will bring together an original track composed by a member of the Floors Records collective, a rework by Gin Tonic Orchestra, and a remix by an international DJ. This project is the first of a series of recurring releases by Floors Records that will follow the same format.

The French producer Kaffe Crème, known for the highly sought-Kaffe Crème EP in 2016, has contributed an original track to the project called ‘Nuits Sonores’. The track pays homage to the festival of the same name in Lyon, France, in a classic old-school House style.

In addition, Chicago legend Ron Trent, widely considered one of the most talented and accomplished deep house producers of all time, has remixed the Gin Tonic Orchestra’s rework, adding his own unique touch as the Godfather of the genre.

Marco Lazovic shows his jazzy electro side with this new outing on Scruniversal. It's a sixth EP from this label and another one you need to cop. The A-side tune is 'Amour Translanatique' and is one doused in romantic pad work, reverential moods and gentle drums that soothe the mind, body and soul. 'Uslada' is more upbeat but no less deft and silky. This one has lush cosmic chords and wispy melodies peeling off the busy beats which have a whiff of liquid jungle goodness to them. Two high-class cuts for tender dancefloors.

Bill Brewster & Alex Tepper follow up their previous outing on Sprechen (aka the Frottage Pie E.P.) with another helping from their archive of making music as Hotel Motel, this time it's a single affair of hefty vibes on 'Without Your Love' with acclaimed multi genre vocalist, Pat Fulgoni!

Continuing what was started on their previous E.P., Without Your Love continues in the same vein as being instantaneously catch as heck, jacking disco house music. Suitable for dark edged discotheques with sweaty ceilings & smoky dance floors as much as Croatian boat parties in the blazing sun. A hooky & stomping bassline with spaced out synth stabs & squiggles draw you right in before Pat's soothing yet slightly spooky vocal completes the package.

3 remixes sit alongside the OG with each one pretty much carving out its own existence and sounding like totally different tracks! The Tad Wily mix is one for the mutant disco heads who love those tracks which signal the transition part of the night, whilst the Tad Wily Stripped Acid version does exactly that and packs in some 303 squelch which sits atop a broken beat and full on Grandmaster Flash style stabs. The Dark Revisited mix finishes things off but leaves you wanting more with its increase of the epic-ness yet still retaining bags of punch & power for the 'mid part of the night' raves.

Insanely hard to pick a fave on this package and we'd bet our bottom dollar you could prob play all 4 in a set and not have anyone look at you in any other way then 'yessmate'.

Now for a jewel that has been floating around as a test pressing and anonymously hotting up various dances for a while now. Created by Black Booby label head Richard Rogers, "Jungle Booby" is a return to the label's re-edit roots following their last release from Gene Hunt. This time Rogers rejigs the DNA of "Jungle D.J." by late 70s French group Kikrokos, giving it a newfangled, disco makeover. It introduces itself with brutish syncopation lathered with a dusty, string section layer before slowly teasing in an animated bassline. A surefire way to soundtrack any overpacked and inebriated dancefloor over the summer months.
