Solo Voice I – X is the first LP by C Spencer Yeh devoted entirely to the voice. Deftly sequenced by Yeh, the LP progresses from a series of shorter tracks, each honing in on a particular sound or technique, towards more open-ended territory in which the formal rigor of the opening tracks begin to dissolve, with Yeh’s voice playing off both silence and itself. This is excerpt is selected from two tracks.

Dieter Roth & Richard Hamilton: Canciones De Cadaques, Side B

"Quadrupel Konzert" was held on February 23, 1977 in the Musik Akademie Basel’s Great Hall. The concert, which ran for 1 hour and 26 minutes, featured Roth playing four instruments: a Hammond organ, the Great Hall’s house organ, a piano, and a French horn. The work is structured around four phases, each approximately 20 minutes in length, in which Roth plays the four instruments while occasionally singing and giving instructions to the sound engineer David Johnson. The first phase was recorded by Johnson and played back for the second phase, allowing Roth to play along, accompanying himself. These steps were repeated for phases three and four, the last of which was followed by a series of encore performances lasting a total of 1 hour and 5 minutes. Both the concert and the encore are included here as well as a 116 minute remix of the concert that Roth later produced but never released.

“Lorelei” (the Long Distance Sonata) features Dieter Roth on piano along with his children, Vera and Björn. The work is comprised of two parts, 38 cassettes of music and a radio/cassette player that was prepared so that the radio and cassette could only be played simultaneously. "Lorelei" was released in 1978 by Hansjörg Mayer and Audio Arts in an edition of 20, each of which contained 38 cassettes and the prepared radio/cassette player in a hand-painted box. This selection from the edition is culled from the original tapes and the works are missing the accompanying radio playback.

RÊVE PARISIEN features four new Rhys Chatham compositions that were performed live at Kassay's exhibition at Art: Concept in Paris in 2010, and loosely functions as an audio catalogue to the exhibition.

RÊVE PARISIEN contains compositions that were both performed live and used as a soundtrack through Kassay’s exhibition. These compositions mark a change in direction for Chatham, who has abandoned the trumpet style he developed in the nineties for a non-distorted, less effects-driven sound that compliments his minimalist compositions and his free jazz training. The LP is packaged in a stunning gatefold with an arced die-cut cover, which was designed by Jacob Kassay in collaboration with Frank Napolski.

Samples from a new edition of The Guerrilla Art Action Group's only LP, which consists of a live recording of an action carried out on WBAI in January 1970. The participants making up The Guerrilla Art Action Group on this recording were Jon Hendricks, Poppy Johnson, and Jean Toche. They were also joined by Laurin Raiken, a member of the New York Free Theater and Art Workers Coalition.

Total running time is 43:12 minutes. Published by Primary Information in an edition of 500.

Simple in construction, yet profound in context, How to Make a Happening is Allan Kaprow delivering 11 rules on how, and how not, to make a Happening, an movement begun by Kaprow in the late fifties that is known for its unpredictability, open scores, and constantly-evolving form.

On the second track, which is constructed like the first, Kaprow reads the program and notes of three recent Happenings (Soap, Calling, and Raining), which serve as loose instruction, as they involve improvisation and forces beyond human control, such as acts of nature and other uncontrolled environmental forces. These elucidations further provide a clear, if somewhat circumstantial, distinction of what does and does not constitute a Happening.

Simple in construction, yet profound in context, How to Make a Happening is Allan Kaprow delivering 11 rules on how, and how not, to make a Happening, an movement begun by Kaprow in the late fifties that is known for its unpredictability, open scores, and constantly-evolving form.

On the first track, Kaprow speaks plainly into a microphone, delivering a private cut-to-the-chase style instruction on Happenings that is both informative and contradictory. Kaprow, known as a great teacher of the avant-garde (from Rutgers to Cal Arts to finally University of California, San Diego), delivers both a practical and theoretical how-to with an oftentimes dead-pan humor.
