Death Domain aka Adam Stroupe is a science nerd from Baltimore and, like me, wears it as a badge of honor.  Death domains are stretches of amino acids found in proteins that signal for apoptosis, programmed cell death.  To my ears, his sound is undoubtedly one of the most bewildering, disorienting yet magnetic and infectious slices of downright bleak takes on synth-based dance music. A one man all-live-analogue electronic ice machine (who is also behind the likes of 'SIDS' - Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). His sound is as cryptically raw as it gets - summoning the seminal Industrial/EBM sounds of the likes of early Cabaret Voltaire, Skinny Puppy, and The Normal.

It's funny to me how when tell people that I'm homeless, they take it for the word itself, like its just another word
Some easily accept it, not really understanding the torment of the experience, and go on with their day
Others avoid eye contact or change face to disgust to see me as something less than human.
To them I say this

"1986 darkwave, minimal electro band from Rochester, New York. The lineup was James Tabbi (vocals, acoustic guitar), Jeff Gallea (bass, drum programs, vocals, keyboard), Jack Schaefer (electric guitar) and Dan Brumley (synths, samples, vocoder, melodica). They released the “Bas Relief” LP in 1986, only 500 silkscreened and hand numbered copies of the record were made which are now extremely sought after by minimal synth enthusiasts. This gem has a wonderful low-tech warm driving synth sound that is infectious. The vocals are haunting and the bass lines remind of Joy Division.  Almost every song is killer dark post-punk or electronic synth wave. They seemed to take cues from Echo and the Bunnymen, early New Order, Fad Gadget, and Depeche Mode. Songs like Watching Trees, Tears and Cinnamon, Portugal, Ignorant Father, and Temporal deserve to be heard. Timeless." -Goutroy
