oDD it T - Breaks Trip

I’ve been hearing about this Vancouver Island festival for years from some of my favourite people.  One of B.C.’s most beautiful beaches, well curated diverse lineup focussing on Island Talent, while pulling some big names.  I missed the deadline to apply last year, and wanted to be sure to come on strong this year.  I mixed this one time in my studio based on a closing slot I performed at Kwench’s Halloween Jam a week previous.   It was a sweaty mess and I figured it would be a strong demo. Was asked to do a promo mix for Disconnect Campout, and this is what I did. I hope you like. I thought it sounded pretty okay. Pressed record and play and this was the outcome. Not necessarily what to expect from myself at Disconnect, but I do like to blend the heavier stuff with the liquid funk. My forte is blending the atmospheric liquid stuff with heavier minimal DnB. Strange Conclusion

There’s nothing ancient about Primitive’s sound or technique.  Pushing the DJ and rave lifestyle in the Pacific Northwest since 2000, supporting the music community by creating a slew of residencies, coordinating gigs for other DJs, promoting shows and developing the community through platforms like Party People Sound Solutions, Primitive Hustle, and PK Sound Victoria.  Strengthened through many collaborations, creating connections and culture; trailing a wake of blissed out revellers. All Primitive ever wanted was to rock a party and he is guaranteed to create a sweaty mess on the dance floor.
