Weatherstorms play rock and roll country blues. Sometimes a solo project, but fast becoming a collective of ragged hillbillies. This is a rock and roll retirement project. It’s a bit swamp delta blues, a bit rock and roll and it’s a bit of punktry. Songs you can stomp your feet to, songs to shout at the world with, songs to take a cup of tea with.  Bringing in elements of DIY punk, counterculture politics and protest and the reflection of the road. WS bring honest songs delivered with a raw sincerity. 

Having grown up on 70s classic rock, turned a teenager to punk and philosophised to post-rock. These songs now are the culmination of a love of many different styles and a return to musical roots. You can take the boy out of the country but you can’t take the country out of the boy. 


The After Hours Quintet were formed in April 2012 as a way for the members of the band to bring their love of Jazz to the club scene.

The After Hours Quintet is a fully Live outfit which combines the musical sensitivity and spontaneity of Jazz with the accessibility and chic of modern dance styles. The quintet which features, Sax, Clarinet, fret-less Bass, trumpet, a turntablist and some smooth jazz guitar has a repertoire featuring several (semi) original tracks as well as a handful of tunes which delicately fuse popular jazz classics with altogether rarer sounds: all underpinned by beats so funky they just beg you to get them feet workin'.

In this project, Smokey Joe (Bordeaux’s main musical mafia head) and The Kid aka “Senbeï,” (cheeky Parisian master of Turntablism), transport us back in time gangsters run streets of 1930’s Chicago. After a 1st EP released in June 2012 and of which 2 tracks had been on Beatport HipHop Top 100 for several months, the duet comes back in March 2013 to confirm that try with their 1st LP “Nasty Tricks”.
Great collaborations enhance that first opus: Puppetmastaz, R-Wan (Java), Lateef the Truthspeaker, Nomadic Massive, Youthstar (Chinese Man), Random Recipe, Sugaray...
With the help of their accomplices, these two gangsters mix Hip Hop and Electro with the groove and melodies of early 20th century Swing. Percussion solos played with scratches, beats and melodies banged out on the MPC, everything is performed live, there’s no doubt that Smokey Joe & The Kid know how to make a dancefloor go wild!!

"Duke Skellington" is an artist and producer spinning on the forefront of the global "Future Swing" music movement. His style is a synthesis developed from pioneering electronic music like (insert dope classic drum and bass that shaped you here), dance-heavy big-band swing & hot jazz from the 1920’s and 1930’s, and lo-fi avant-garde soundscapes that lift your mind to the clouds. The result is a unique experience of music that unites the past and future. Duke Skellington fashions music for the uninhibited dancing soul that lives and loves in the present moment.

Duke Skellington is the music producer for both the Vaude Villainz and Duke Skellington music projects. The Vaude Villainz recent record “Voodoo Swing” was released in early 2017 with Ragtime Records and was #2 on the Beatport top selling Glitch Hop albums. The Duke Skellington "Devils, Dames and Debauchery" EP is dropping with Ragtime in 2020, and will be expanding on his signature futuristic and vintage music sound. He also co-hosts an Electro Swing Podcast called “Jitterbug Jukebox”, and is part of the label boss team at Ragtime Records. Jitterbug Jukebox is a podcast hosted by Duke Skellington and Professor Watson focusing on the subculture of the swing era music from the 1920s to 1940s and also its current state of electro swing which is being produced in the UK and around the world. We focus not only on the music but also on the culture; fashion, interviewing current artists as well as learning more about historical musicians and their place in time.

Marshall Watson AKA Professor Watson:
Marshall Watson is a professional Swing Dancer and Dance Instructor, who started dancing in 1999. Marshall has been seen dancing at various live events and productions throughout the country. Marshall has danced in numerous music videos for artists including Katy Perry, The Plain White Tee’s, The Jonas Brothers, Capital Cities, Paolo Nutini, Dustbowl Revival, and Johnny Hallyday to name a few. Marshall is a National Jitterbug Championship finalist. Marshall is known for his dapper fashion, and his smooth energetic LA style Lindy Hop. Marshall produces and DJ’s the event Swingtronic held at Pour Vous in Hollywood and also teaches group lessons and DJ’s around Los Angeles. 
Marshall is an aspiring actor, who was recently featured in Hail, Caesar! directed by The Coen Brothers. Look for him in the new film Suburbicon starring Matt Damon coming out next year.

Chad Sells AKA Duke Skellington:
Duke Skellington is a professional music producer/DJ who started writing songs at the infancy of his teenage years.  Influenced by the dynamic swing revival in Southern California in the 90s he wrote his first swing song when he was 14.  Not quite yet old enough to get into every venue he would often sneak into clubs, bars, and dance halls just to get his fill of the swinging brass, syncopated rhythms.  At this time he played piano and keys in a few swingin' bands. 
Later, in the mid 90s, Duke discovered the rave scene and fell in love with a different style of dance music. His musical creativity continued evolving as he explored the many genres of the rave scene including, drum n bass, trip hop, and EDM. All the while his passion and fondness for jazz and swing never went away. 
As time progressed his old love of swing music and relatively newer passion of electronic music began to merge through the inspiration of early electro swing artists like Parov Stelar and Caravan Palace.  At this junction the circle became full as he saw the potential of his life passions integrating into one sound to which he is an avid enthusiast for today.
He produces music under the group moniker of the Vaude Villainz, a project recently signed with Ragtime Records.  He also releases tunes as simply "Duke Skellington" and can be found DJing in the electro swing underworld across the US or at home with his loved ones living that family life with his 9 year old son Zion and Fiancé Bridget.

True Strays are longtime friends and songwriters Joseph James and James Cameron from Bristol, England who are fast carving out a niche of their own in the UK Americana scene. Their music is a cathartic celebration of alternative roots americana and blues rock. 
Their songs focus on the dirt that life throws at you and how struggle can be transformed into something better. Like all good music, True Strays tap deep in what’s real and create sounds for winding road trips and the promise of the horizon. The prolific songwriting duo draw influences from Neil Young, Muddy Waters, Fleetwood Mac and modern retro inspired acts like Alabama Shakes, Gary Clark Jr and the Black Keys. 
From the rock and roll circumstances of their first meeting in a sand pit in playgroup 30 odd years ago, they have completed countless UK tours, supported bands as diverse as My Baby and Elles Bailey, been jump started by Keith Allen, played by BBC Introducing and BBC Radio, played their first European dates,  survived 70+ festival shows at prestigious festivals like Green Man, Boom Town, Larmer Tree and Shambala and have been featured on the Spotify’s Nu-Blue and Modern Blues Rock playlists.
2021 sees a year's hard work behind the scenes coming to fruition. A recent invite to showcase at the prestigious UK AmericanaFest, a debut album titled ‘Heart of the Matter’ recorded and a main stage slot at Black Deer Festival all on the horizon. With or without live shows, True Strays have a bounty of new music to release this year. 
2020 was going to be their biggest year yet. But it was all washed away by the lockdowns. Their first headline tour cancelled, their first main stage festival slots postponed and their income disappeared. 
Rather than sitting at home feeling disheartened, core members Joe James and James Cameron cooked up a risky plan. Their debut album was written and ready to go but the loss of shows wiped out all their income. With the bank balance at 0, they decided to reach out to their growing fanbase for help. They launched a kickstarter and asked for £4500 to help fund half their album. They hit that target in 5 days. Blown away and humbled by the belief of their fans and friends the debut album was saved. In 31 days, the ‘save our debut album’ kickstarter raised just over £9000.

	Green Queen Music recording artists THE GENTLEMEN CALLERS of LOS ANGELES is the latest project from the writing and production partnership of Atom Smith and Buck Down.  Their 14 year career together has spanned almost a dozen albums, as well as multiple projects for film, television, and performance, including the world renown MUTAYTOR, a 20 piece traveling tribal electro circus born in the Black Rock Desert over a decade ago. 

	In a short period of time, THE GENTLEMEN CALLERS of LOS ANGELES have established themselves globally as the world’s premiere American original electroswing act, and their music has become a staple of electroswing DJs all over the world. Their recent signing with the UK based GREEN QUEEN MUSIC has already launched a series of singles currently being remixed by some of the biggest names in swing, including BART & BAKER, DUTTY MOONSHINE, KIWISTAR, EFECTO, SOUNDNOMADEN TAVO, and DR. CAT just to name a few. In December of 2014,the duo headed out on their first headlining tour of Europe in December of 2014, a mere 11 months after beginning this new project. They have logged multiple festival appearances at LIGHTNING IN A BOTTLE, BURNING MAN, & ELECTRIC FOREST among others.

	Their bombastic live shows effortlessly slide between readings of their own original material as well as some of the best in cutting edge, modern vintage music curated from around the world, seamlessly blending 1920’s big band, manouche, hip hop, house, balkan and American dust bowl era gospel in a heady cocktail of big bass rapturous, infectious fun. 

	Always impeccably dressed, The Gentlemen are known for their clinical attention to detail when it comes to production and performance, and their shows reflect thousands of hours of work spent perfecting the art of driving a dance floor crazy.

Mr Switch aka Anthony Culverwell won the title of DMC WORLD CHAMPION in 2014 – his 4th world title, following his 3 back-to-back wins in the 'Battle For World Supremacy'.

He is one of the most talented & successful DJs to come out of the UK, noted worldwide for his party rocking abilities & scratch skills

Under his previous guise of DJ Switch, Anthony performed as soloist in Gabriel Prokofiev's "Concerto For Turntables & Orchestra" in 2011, becoming the first DJ in history to perform on the BBC Proms.

His other credits include closing DJ sets at Glastonbury & Bestival; guest mixes for Radio 1, 1Xtra, Kiss FM & BBC Asian Network, and features on TV shows such as BBC Breakfast & Blue Peter.

Mr Switch defines himself through versatility - whether dropping a hip hop scratch showcase, an electro swing trip through time, or a multi-genre mash-up, he can take any challenge thrown at him
