Brett was born in Boston but his passion for electronic music comes from his formative years where he was living everywhere from Tel Aviv to Amsterdam, Berlin to Barcelona, Malibu to Manhattan and his travels everywhere in between. 

His sound is rooted in the intersection of world music, natural instrumentation and electronica. In his live sets, intellectual electronic music meets the eclectic selections of a child who was a product of America's 1980's and 90's culture of convergence where a wide range of influences can be felt through the thoughtful catalogue of re-works and edits of nostalgic tracks that somehow feel brand new.  

Brett now lives in Eden, Utah, population 800, in the great American west where he is building a small town atop Powder Mountain that supports entrepreneurial and artistic achievment through the community he co-founded called Summit.

The music of Burning Man has had a significant impact on my direction as a DJ and, with the burn (and Oregon Eclipse) rapidly approaching, I wanted to put together a set that would amplify the anticipation and excitement that so many of my friends are feeling as the time to go "home" draws near.  The setting that I had in mind when I recorded this was deep playa after the sun has set and dusk has almost completely faded to night.  A nice range of sounds in this one, starting off with deep house and moving into predominately progressive territory, with a healthy dose of tribal rhythms and vocal elements throughout. Build Week Friday Morning Chill @ Karma Love Camp, Burning Man 2019

For the holiday edition we invited an extraordinary duo to the Schirmchendrink counter: please fasten your seatbelt for Moullinex & Xinobi’s fantastic “Golden Hour” Cocktail.

You might have noticed that we venture an excursion into other genres from time to time, and we have saved a very special one with this last episode of 2019. 

Hailing from Lisboa, Moullinex and Xinobi today are synonym for the driving underground electronic music scene in the capital city of Portugal. 

Moullinex, was surrounded by music and musicians during childhood and since an early age has been solely dedicated to the pursuit of his own sound, refusing to adhere to a specific genre or scene, but taking comfort in disco and house as a starting point. 

If there is a common trait between his productions, it’s the craft of melodies, a strong degree of human touch in machine- based music, unpretentious synthesizers, desperate guitars, striking basslines, and beats reminiscing from a not so distant dancefloor past. Luis often collaborates with Xinobi - in fact, most of the electric bass you’ll hear in his productions is responsibility his friend and co-founder of their imprtint Discotexas.

Moullinex established himself as one of the leading artists in the scene, with his own productions as well as remixes of acts like Røyksopp, Cut Copy and Two Door Cinema Club or a collaboration with Peaches. He has released three studio albums and most recently a wonderful jazzy house production named “AZUL”, together with Xinobi. 

Xinobi’s album ‘On The Quiet’ was released in 2017 including the lead hit-single ‘Far Away Place’, which got an enormous revival last year due to the remix of Keinemusik’s Rampa. 

Releases on Anjunadeep and MoBlack and remixes for artists such as Tensnake, The Avener, Nicolas Jaar, Riva Starr and many more prove Xinobi’s ability to re-arrange amazing music into a whole new universe. 

It was in 2011 when Moullinex and Xinobi decided to join forces. Today both artists, either individually or as a duo, are among the biggest exports that Portugal’s electronic scene has to offer. Lost Memories Burningman 2020

Leah’s style can only be described as disco with a bucket load of a funk, a healthy dose of house, a little bit of soul and a dash of afro beats. She then mixes in some sparkles and a shitload of sass, shakes it all up with rainbow flavoured champagne and sprays magic disco bubbles over the dancefloor through a unicorn horn until all people can hear is the sound of pure happiness.
