i've been DJing forever as Big G, SUNZ OF AXIS and Sub Erb+Kaos.... I was a box boy and DJ for the Mighty Axis Sound System , I lifted heaps of giant speaker boxes  and learned about Dub, Reggae and Dancehall...thank you Paul Axis, Mikey DON and Natty B you all helped me become a most powerful Jedi ..... ;] 
In the late 90's I owned my own record shop - Proper Records,  big up Joss Jinx,( https://soundcloud.com/jinxindub ),Matt Proper, Bladey and Bones - could not have done it without these guys) 
We also had 3 labels "Birth" "HomeGrown" and "Proper", (Django made the tunes (https://soundcloud.com/oniidub) and Bent Coppa helped run tingz...........https://soundcloud.com/bentcoppa

We also ran a few decent nights and many "big names" started out on our stage... 

New Zealand has been my home for 20 years now ..... 

i'm still playing tunes....
but doing it in the sun is heaps more fun.

The Might Asterix is a legend of the New Zealand reggae scene.
The first Reggae type toaster=mc in the south pacific.
 His MC'ing and vocal skills have seen him gain a first-class reputation both in New Zealand and internationally. Asterix began MC'ing in the early 80s in Palmerston North and was inspired by the likes of Dillinger, I-Roy, U-Roy, Dennis Brown and Frankie Paul. At the end of ’1982 he moved to Auckland  joining The Twelve Tribes Rastafarians and there he got his sound system training doing fund raising shows for the 12Tribes.
later in the decade around 88 until now he has worked closely with NZ`s Che Fu, Fat Freddys drop, Blackseeds, Stinky and DLT, in 1997 he and DLT released the first ever Jungle tune in the south pacific, called return of the lion king on the True school of hip hop album.
Asterix eventually moved to Wellington in 2000 and now has traveled  over to Australia and lives there for the moment, he works with all of the best crews and bands in town, and has recently performed at Kaikoura Roots and Soundsplash.
Also from 2006 he has been the lead singer for SALMONELLA DUB NZ`S most popular Reggae dub dance band. International artists he has preformed with and or along side of include,

Canadian artist Casey Burnett has been involved with music since his early teens, maintaining the role of guitarist and songwriter for an Alternative Rock band during the 90's. Since then, he has attended Music Production College and rooted himself firmly in the underground Toronto Hip Hop scene. For 10 years, Casey has been writing more Reggae-inspired works with Soul, Jazz, and Rock influences, and has now arrived at Dubwise. His major influences include King Tubby, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Bunny Lee, Scientist, Phil Pratt Augustus Pablo & Clive Chin.
