The SXDNS Takeover series, promoted by the rising & charming German platform Sexy Dinosaur From Outer Space, reaches its second episode; this time landing on the respected Spanish label Espacio Cielo. Leonor, Back From The Wave, Duncan Gray, and Moo Moonster & Parissior, some of the most seminal artists amid the Indie Dance/Dark Disco scene, provided four splendid cuts for the compilation.

Mexico-born, France-based Leonor kicks off the VA with "Noise", a mind-blowing trip to the Middle East, heavily infused with exotic percussive elements and thick acid layers. Also hailing from France, Back From The Wave brings the game to his turf with "Girls", a frenzied and intense synth extravaganza with a plethora of beautiful arpeggios. Then comes none other than British Duncan Gray and his world & galaxy-wide famous extremely-acid sonority with "Grappler". The grand finale comes from the Spanish hands of the label boss himself, Parissior, and his partner in crime, Moo Moonster, who teamed up to deliver "Fairlight", a hellish and energetic dance floor filler.

Duro Label is proud to present volume 10 of their rolling compilation series, "Muy Duro". New names for this issue include Mishell and UFO Club, as well as the triumphant return of Mijo, a masterpiece by Javier Ferreira and Persona RS, and a new cut from Heidenreich.

The compilation starts off strong with "Shifting Sands", a collaboration between Javier Ferreira and Persona RS. It's a powerful, acidic track with dreamy vibes and rave influences. Next up is "The Toolmaster" by the one and only Mijo, a funky, surprising, and pleasurable track that's like a soul massage.

In this volume of the "Muy Duro" series, we welcome Mishell with "Analyze", a cut more oriented towards the sound of house music, fresh, deep, and resonant. Heidenreich returns to Duro with "Not What U Dance", a booming cut with sharp and energetic synthesizers. Finally, to close out the compilation, we have UFO Club debut for the label with "Snapping Turtles", a minimal house cut with a solid drumbeat, playful percussion, epic break and a floating bass.

“The Blue Hour” is the second VA of Berlin-based THISBE Recordings, following “Black Ink” released in 2022. Curated by label owner Pyrame, the new compilation is an invitation to cruise through the blue hour, that unique time of the day from dusk to night.

During that special time lapse, as the sky goes through several shades of blue, so goes the record:

Dominik Marz´s “Bura´s Hymn” brings us straight above the Earth´s surface with a track as atmospheric as it can get, before Radial Gaze & Balam´s collab tune “Foreclosed” sets the scene for a groovy dance above the clouds.

We have already lost sight of the ground when World Wild Web initiates an immersion into an enigmaticphase of the voyage with his track “Extase”, where we do not really know in which time-space we findourselves any more. Agle hints at a possible spot: “Sahel”, a tune that feels like a breeze across thedesert, before Philip Lawns shakes everyone up with the upbeat “Johns”, bringing our feet back justabove the ground. Volta Cab wraps up our imaginary trip with “Krasnodar Nights”, bringing a treat forthe soul and some peace of mind. The night can now settle down.

FEINSTOFF PREMIERE: Agle - Sahel [THISBE]

"Algo Mal” is originally a very dark track, which hits hard with the kick as soon as you press play, very straight and with a growing tension. We immediately thought of slightly relaxing the tension, letting the dark atmospheres take a breather by cutting out some sub, effects and synth bass. We added the vocal part that distinguishes almost all the tracks of our latest productions, and since Parasex is also a post-punk rock project, we played some guitars and basses. These adjustments make the whole thing a bit cinematic even if the track is always meant to be played in clubs and precisely with the idea of ​​making people dance, the final touch was to record a live drum part on the track. It was an instinctive process born in the middle of the night, the result of the experimental period we are experiencing in these months of spasmodic production. We hope that the result is to your liking and that it is fun to dance and interesting to listen to.

Revolution 1988 EP is an innovative interpretation of early House and Acid House vibes. Clocking in at 125 Bpm on the A side, it sets the mood for the sonic exploration of naturally expressed, impactful and upbeat classic house piano riffs and a tight rhythm section, contaminated with a punchy bassline and rich percussive elements. To complete the journey, it’s also worth mentioning the effortless contribution of well worked out vocals and dubby kind of FXs that will lift the dancefloor to the very last beat.

The Red Pill can’t be labelled as a B side, in that it is a dancefloor filler of its own. Creating an 80s feel, it’s driven by funky, low rumbling bassline, and an articulated, snappy, sharp percussions, it infuses pure dancefloor energy with disco vibes and organic grooves. It encapsulates the listener/dancer in an immersive sonic bubble of exquisitely full range textures, emotional layers and sound stage experience.
