ELIXIR EP mixtape

The sonic vision of Prismatic Mantis, the moniker of

multi-instrumentalist, producer and composer Mark Reynolds, is one that is

impossible to pin succinctly down. Strongly influenced by Nature, Sacred

Geometry and the Cosmos, Reynolds’ homogeneously progressive material

flickers between downtempo electronica and slightly left-of-center fusion

rock.

With a history as diverse as his catalog’s sound, Prismatic Mantis’ open,

adventurous and uplifting spirit continues to inspire now with his latest

offering, “Return To Sender.”

The first of three connected singles exploring birth, death, and the beyond,

“Return To Sender” represents the second, offering the listener strength in

the face of the end. With a brilliant fusion of jazz and pop set amidst

whirring, bristling electronics, “Return To Sender” is an exhilarating

experience with a message to life and live it to its fullest and to befriend

death as an ally, not an unconscious fear.

Prismatic Mantis is the sonic vision led by composer, multi-insrumentalist and producer Mark Reynolds whose homogenously progressive material flickers between downtempo hiphop/electronica and slightly left-of-center jazz-rock. Based in upstate NY, Prismatic Mantis has recorded and produced various records and moves forward in collaboration with artists near and far. Aside from musical influences, Prismatic Mantis is strongly influenced by Nature, Sacred Geometry and the Cosmos.
