We’re excited to announce the newest edition to The Melt family, Queen Leaf. After contributing to our monthly mix series and providing us with his stunning track “Paraquiesce”on The Melt Compilation Vol . 1, Queen Leaf is one who’s sound we’ve sincerely enjoyed, and wanted to hear more of since first listen. “Planted” is Queen Leaf’s debut EP, and it showcases everything we love about his sound. With each track clocking in at just over 6 minutes, our favorite moments from Queen Leaf come from waiting. He create’s texture filled, yet spacious atmospheres, where he layers concise percussion and mantra-like repetitions of vocal samples that culminate into a sonically unique and enrapturing listen. Queen Leaf successfully diversifies a sound which clearly inspires him, and churns it into something of his own.
