A Sides, who signed and released Breaks debut track ‘Cocktail’ on his imprint Eastside Records, has generously given Symmetry permission to access his back catalogue for a re-release. Tracks that were previously only available on vinyl have been compiled into an E.P. of Break’s personal favourites from 2003 / 2004.
These 4 tracks have been carefully re-mastered by Break for a modern DJ friendly sound, whilst retaining their outboard mixed analogue flavour.

For over a decade, Mako has been a distinctive presence, both as an individual and through his music, a talent we’ve proudly showcased at Metalheadz.

This September, we are honoured to release his third album on the label, and his second solo endeavour, which serves as a seamless continuation of his earlier work. His 2020 album, ‘Oeuvre’, represented years of dedication and refined production, solidifying Mako's esteemed place within the Metalheadz family.

Now, four years later, we’re thrilled to present ‘Oeuvre – Part 2’. This 12-track album is a celebration of Mako’s deep passion for music, while also reflecting his sometimes disillusioned views on a modern era that often seems to pass us by. In a world where individuality can struggle to shine amidst an overwhelming flood of content, Mako’s superior production stands out as a beacon, demanding not just recognition, but active listening.

Mako’s commitment to his musical community is evident throughout the album, with contributions from long-time collaborators Fields, Hydro, Villem, and Mikal, each bringing their unique expertise to the project. The album also features a special collaboration with the late Marcus Intalex, a friendship that blossomed in the years before Marcus’ untimely passing and one that continues to bear fruit.

Diving into the heart of the album reveals Mako’s charm as a producer: from the captivating vocals in ‘Feed You’, the sleek homage to techstep in "Suspension’, to the pure dancefloor energy of ‘Direct Source’, a track long favoured by Goldie. As expected, Mako also delivers deeper, more contemplative pieces like the album’s opener ‘True Expression’ and the graceful melodies of ‘Overshare’.

The Drum Pusher Selects 22

Join Four Corners Music as they celebrate a monumental achievement—100 releases under the expert guidance of south-coast veteran DJ/producer and label owner Melinki. Over the past 99 releases, the label has become a beacon for all styles of drum 'n' bass, from soulful liquid to gritty tech, consistently showcasing top-tier talent across the scene.

Now, in collaboration with Heavy Sonics, they're bringing the celebration to London! On Saturday 23rd November, at the Colour Factory Hackney, experience their first-ever 7-hour day party in the capital.

Exeter-based artist Subdue, who has prevously had releases on both Heavy Sonics and Four Corners Music, takes us on a journey of emotional and atmospheric liquid drum and bass to warm us up for his set at the day party this Saturday!

Soul Deep Exclusives is proud to present the next album in the Artist Spotlight Series!  The series provides the selected artist an album platform to curate a collection of music that represents their signature sound.  Soul Foundation was selected for the project, and he has produced a masterful album that exhibits his love of the powerful Amen drums and classic soundscapes.  The UK-based producer has crafted an album of groovy songs that will work in any Liquid set from dancefloor to moody atmospheres.  With a growing catalog of tracks, and releases on such labels as Soul Deep, Smooth N Groove, Jungle Cakes, Celsius, and Sheer Velocity, Soul Foundation has been busy crafting his signature sound of Liquid beats.
