WE ARE BURNING BRAINS THE BAND from Belém , Brazil · We’ve developed a following of loyal fans in our country and we are anxious to share our music with the world. The original band formed in 2005 and like most new bands, we’ve had different talented musicians that represented our band as it evolved. Burning Brains The Band, has always strived to blend classic rock and roll music with heavy metal and occasionally romantic ballads. Our main influences are bands such as Dokken, Keel, Wasp, AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne and Judas Priest. We’ve had the honor of being selected as the opening act for concerts in Brazil with headline acts like Angra and Dr. Sin.   As things increasingly became more demanding and of a serious nature, original founding members and songwriters Antonio Augusto Cesar Junior (lead vocalist Jr. Thunder) and guitarist / producer Nelson Torres parted with the former band members to rewrite and re-record all of the Burning Brains songs. Alcyete Caracciolo (Antonio’s wife) lends her talents as lyricist and co-writer to the project. The new material and rewritten earlier work is  recorded, engineered and produced in Nelson’s studio. There will, undoubtedly be new musicians that form the live performance Burning Brains line-up but for now,  and our first CD Amazon´s on Fire is ready with 11 songs, something we’ve worked toward for years. So stay tuned and experience the ongoing evolution of our band and our music. The Band is: Antonio Junior- Vocal, Victor Junior- Guitar, Gleibson Souza- Drums, Jorge Souza- Bass

Whether it’s time spent consulting with artists on their equipment or time spent in the studio developing a client’s masterpiece, Ian Roegels is a leading industry expert at the forefront of the scene.  Though not a household name, he’s been a consistent force for over 30 years with a talent that rivals his contemporaries.  He spent his childhood growing up in Oklahoma City learning to play and produce music. Eventually he earned a degree with honors in music production from the University of Central Oklahoma vía the Academy of Contemporary Music, founded by Scott Booker (The Flaming Lips). 
 
As a producer, engineer, mixer, and musician, Ian has had his hands in a wide variety of projects over the years.  An artist in his own right, his work as a producer often incorporates his own sounds and textures into the recordings giving them a unique flavor and feel. This approach has won him acclaim and recognition from his peers, from bedroom musicians to Grammy winners.  No matter the genre, Ian’s focus is on the song and the artist, ensuring that the final product is the best it can be.
 
In addition to his work in the studio, Ian is also a highly sought after consultant, working with artists across the globe in the development of new projects at Sweetwater Sound.  He has served as a consultant for educational institutions, government facilities, and live performance venues.  
 
2022 saw the release of the EP “Navigating Dystopia” by dangerous robot to critical acclaim and saw Ian move from a producer role to being a full member.  "Ian Roegels helped bring dangerous robot from a garage band to a professional act", says Gunner Williams.  "If you’re looking for that secret sauce for your music he’s your huckleberry. You can borrow him but you can’t have because we found him first!"
 
2023 will see the release of his first solo release since 2018 entitled “Blue Marmalade”, a full fledged pop album featuring notable guest artists including Roger Joseph Manning Jr. (Jellyfish, Moog Cookbook, Malibu), Kenny Aronoff (John Mellancamp, John Fogerty, Smashing Pumpkins), Nick D’Virgilio (Spock's Beard, Genesis), Subcat artist Christian Parker, Grammy nominated artist Cory Landry, and Damon Mitchell.

I'm into Just Intonation (JI), which is using harmonics (or undertones) to generate music. Over time, my profile will fill up with wonderful and melodious New Harmony, fresh from the infinite vaults of the original and best source of harmony, Just Intonation.

I’ve written some papers on the music theory of Just Intonation. You can check them out via the arXiv link below. Topics include the mathematical analysis of harmony (in Just Intonation), and a notation system to cover all of Just Intonation.
