During his high school years, in 2001, began the passionate odyssey of Briane Blanc, nicknamed « Santo B. » (some years later).

After aiming to collect all existing recordings in all possible formats, by Syd Barrett, after having experienced his "musical flash" by discovering his swan song, the album "Saucerful of Secrets" and his last piece signed within the group Pink Floyd, "Jugband Blues".

This one was in his mother's CD collection.

After the discovery of Piper at The Gates Of Dawn in 2002, via his friend Xavier (who introduced him to a lot of music from the 60's); then most of the bootlegs existing at the same time, on an internet in its infancy, he played in different "Garage Rock" groups including “Los Santos” (from which he took his nickname) and in “The Hands”.

So the idea came to him to found a new group with other people, a group whose concept would be:

“and if Syd Barrett had continued his career, what would he have composed?
We’ll try to imagine that…”

This is how the dreams of the Madcap Men, the “Madcap Dreams” ; became real.
