Sunshine Synth

A deep excursion into color and space. At times the colors become quite visible, then after a time we reach deep black. Before our journey is complete we climb into the bright purple. 

One voice, the telharmonic, is modulated by slow triangles and random stepped voltage with the occasional ultra slow sine wave. It's quite a listen.

So, I just rebuilt my vintage Odyssey 2810 from around 1975 and did this little recording to test it out. Just a fun little Jam. 

Used Korg Radias for the Rhodes sound and Roland TR-8 for drums.

SYNTRX Drum&Bass

In the mid to late 90s, I did sound for a few years for Marc Phillips and Jim Burford.  These were mostly gigs in and around Birmingham AL.  I recorded one of their performances (ADAT 8 track) and created this demo. 
Marc passed a couple of years ago (Covid-19).  I share this demo for those who miss him, his distinctive voice and musicianship.

Follow me tonight

Some big analog FM bells recorded live during testing with a huge and extremely rare PPG System 300 Modular synthesizer that was in for major overhaul at Hideaway.  The bells were made using 5 out of the 7 available VCOs in a blend of cross modulations each subtly pitched under CV control by 3 step sequencer channels to produce an array of overtones.

Uber Rare PPG System 300 Modular Synthesizer: Big Bells!

The DFAM is playing a clock divided beat resembling tribal drums. The clock divided (and modulated) beat from Pams and the QCD drive the Metropolis sequence which is playing an Atlantis complete voice. The Metropolis and Atlantis modulate each other and in turn are modulated by a Batumi LFO. The BigSky reverb pedal is in Magneto mode and is hand modulated.
