This album is a funky and energetic mix of Future-Funk/French-House, and french electro, with a touch of breakbot-esque nu-disco! Hope ya like it!

DX-Digital sat behind this track as an arranger, mixer, producer and instrumentalist (piano, keyboards). With his background as a professional jazz pianist, DX-Digital is able to bring musical depth to a genre of electronic music, combining real instrumental chops with producing skills. Featuring 2 of his alltime favorite friends and saxophone players Vladimir Lebedev (UKR) and Omri Abramov (ISR)

Resistor is Shunt Voltage’s debut release on Paisley Dark Records although they have appeared on the three Shelter Me complilation albums which raise funds for homelessness. This release comes hot on the heels of major support from Colleen “Cosmo” Murphy, who included their track Generator on her latest Balearic Breakfast album, Volume 3. She has also been giving heavy play to the bands limited vinyl release, To What Degree/Cowboys, which includes an A Space Age Freak Out remix of To What Degree.
Along with the original, the EP boasts a trio of remixes from Leeds based producers, Cosmikuro who is by now a regular contributer to the label, Paisley Darks very own A Space Age Freak Out, aka label boss John Paynter & Ben lewis and rising stars Adult DVD. Finally, the fourth remix comes courtesty of Swedish producer Mindbender (When Disco Goes Wrong) .
In the words of the band, Resistor came about by trying out some newly programmed synth sounds and FX and mixing with some sequencer riffs. This sound clash eventually filled out to a rough demo which the band tinkered around with eventually adding in a few vocal lines. The title continues their electrical theme and has a neat double edge to it.

I made this album in participation of the 2019 Record Production Month Challenge where the rules are make 10 tracks or 35 minutes in the month of February so because I did this with a previous album "28 Days With The OP-1" where the limitation aside from time was to only use a Teenage Engineering OP-1 but this time the limitation is that it had to be one track in one key and tempo but I could use whatever I wanted to pull it off so I used everything from an OP-1, MatrixBrute, iPad, iPhone, to even a 3DS and for no particularly good reason I spent way too much time tweaking a bunch of tape saturation plugins I've collected over the years to give it some grit because in the last few months I've been listening to a lot of Biosphere and Legowelt and Jan Jelinek and Textstar and Loscil and Monolake and Brian Eno and I just wanted to make something kind of nice and meditative or whatever so here it is in all its rushed and sloppy glory as a palette-cleanser to the forthcoming album that I've been working on for about 4 years now though that'll come soon enough but meanwhile I hope you like how I spent these 28 days in 2019.

Early 2019 Espen Kraft made "We should be together", a 90s UK House inspired track showcasing his 90s synths, drum machines and samplers.

It was such a great song I felt the need to try and bring up to another level. beef it up and make an even more up tempo, fusing both the UK house scene with some US and Chicago House (and a dash of happy synth pop) so there you go. Hope you like it.
