Mid Nite Life are Indie Dance music production duo Frankie and Will. Their music features powerful electric lyrics and acerbic social commentary.

The ‘Jamaican Bass Movement’ is more than just a collective of like minded music providers, it also entirely sums up a style of music that we all love to play and has never yet had a suitable moniker with which to call its own.

With each of us regularly rocking dance-floors in our respective corners of the globe with all manner of reggae infused sub-genres (reggae / dancehall / rubadub / mashup / moombahton / traphall / rootstep / ragga-jungle / dub / digital / future dancehall / 140-jungle / bashment / bass / rubadubstep / tropical / soca / ska / dubwise / steppas etc etc etc) we felt a suitable platform was needed to allow ‘Jamaican Bass’ to shine and continue growing from strength to strength.

East London chanteuse and songwriter Oscine has been involved in music her whole life, letting inspiration blow from all directions.
Growing up with the sounds of reggae, hi-life and soul divas at home, heavily influenced by the indie scene of her peers and a personal love for hip hop, Oscine combines this with an abstract blend of futuristic soul, blues and electronica to create her own signature style. 
Early songwriting and vocal training lessons came from a combination of touring and recording with electronic band Euphonic, and being part of ENO supported youth choir, The Works, led by Laka D. A passion for detailed harmonies continued through various choirs, including the OneTaste choir and London Contempory Voices, all the while working as guest vocalist for a number of dance and indie bands, numerous collaborations with MC PRofit, as well as collaborating with producers on her self penned songs. 

Some years performing and releasing music as Neech saw performances at local venues up and down the country as well as festivals and competitions. A strong connection was forged with her regular guitarist Oliver Thompson and they enjoyed co-writing songs for the project, but the changing band line ups eventually took it's toll.

A move to Paris resulted in a stint presenting and producing the Paris branch of online music show BalconyTV. This also led to time away from making her own music, as so much energy went onto promoting other artists. But Oscine continued to write lyrics. Thankfully Oscine was introduced to Congolese musician Borrina Mapaka and the pair set about making plans to collaborate. Oscine returned to London but the musical force was strong and ideas were floated across the Channel. This led to a return trip to Paris to record vocals and work on specific tracks with Borrina, which were then brought back to London to be mixed by Pyramid Studios' own Dave Pemberton. 

Having met Dave through recommendation by PRofit, Oscine has found a like minded musical soul. With all the pieces starting to fall into place more recording and live shows can only follow.

Whilst many people search all their life to establish who they are or what their worth is in the world, Jah Mirikle is clear about his calling. A native of the tropical island of St. Lucia, West Indies, Jah Mirikle was born to sing. His music is a personification of the cultural and mystical inspirations of his homeland; making his lyrical embodiment more intriguing.&#13;

Now based in the UK, Jah Mirikle without a doubt possesses extraordinary talent.&#13;

Also a keen producer, Mirikle has made his mark on numerous collaborations with Rappers and MCs on the UK music scene,....earning him the name 'King Of The HOOKS', and making him someone that the youth of today recognize and can identify with!!!...Together with some of these MCs, he has gone on to open shows for renowned artists the likes of 'Ghost Face Killer'(WuTang Clan), 'JOE', 'BennieMan', 'Spraga Benz'...to mention a few, toured the country performing with dates in Scotland, wales, Brighton, Reading, Oxford, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Norwich...etc ....and countless charity events, and talent showcases!!!   &#13;

Though a keen reggae enthusiast, he remains St Lucian to the bone, and that raw captivating energy which is a common factor throughout the islands of the Caribbean (Carnival Vybz), also flows through this artist!  &#13;

.............“in saying that, I have recently become more in tune, so to speak to my island roots...’SOCA’ roots, and have been paying more attention to Soca music, the events, the Bands, (Steel-Pan), the scene in general and the way people relate to that!”&#13;

Having hooked up with Trinidadian songstress ‘’NIKISHA’’ based in the UK…,she mentioned an interest in doing Soca Music, and Mirikle had the connection to a good producer on the scene in St Lucia, who was willing to supply the music. &#13;

.............“So with much encouragement from my peers, I have now made a few contributions to the  Soca scene thus far including&#13;

Since arriving in the UK, he has worked with Reggae icons including Mad Professor, Sirius Records, Blacka Dread, Wesley (2play) Johnson, MOBO Award Winner for the hit single ‘I’m So Confused’ by Rahgev, El-B, Funky House & Dubstep producer with the big tune ‘We Don’t Play’ by JAH Mirikle, and most recently, has worked along side the uk super producer, Mr Curtis Lynch(Necessary Mayhem{Maroon Records}), who is renowned for is production on the Collie Buds hit 'Come Around' which took the world by storm.  &#13;
The first collaboration between the two has resulted in the recent release of the song 'Mystic Control' by Mr Lynch on his Maroon Record Label!.....Also another reggae song which features the talents of singer 'Roachie' entitled 'All's Fair In Love' on the Shining Light Riddim, has been released by friend and fellow artist Mr Wayne Lyrics for Reggae Wave Label!!....Both these singles are available for purchase online, and @ record shops across the country!!!&#13;

One to look forward to is his collaboration mixtape featuring songs from the not too far past entitled "Carnival Fever"! The artist continues to make his mark in the industry, on a steady rise to international stardom.&#13;

His first taste of the booth came in the form of that modest home-studio which was owned by a close friend, and this initial recording session would set the pace for what would be the beginning of a fruitful career in the Music Industry and Jah Mirikle is ready to undertake all the possibilities of this venture.&#13;

Jimmy Norden - Drums/Percussion

From a fusion of a Hip Hop and Dance music background, London artist, PRofit has taken his show on the road to a global degree with appearances in Africa, Eastern & Western Europe, the US and of course across the UK.

He is one of the new wave UK vocalists bringing vibes, versatility and content. 

Driven by his love of word play, passion for music and performance energy his experience began on some of London’s most upfront underground radio stations culminating in presenting and producing his own weekly show on the multi-award winning Breaks FM, which soon became one of the stations most listened to broadcasts. 

His live performances take him from clubs to festivals, from fields to high capacity arenas.  

Along the way he has worked with cutting edge artists from their scenes such as Skitz, Chip Fu (Fu-Schnickens), Scratch Perverts, JFB (2 x UK DMC Champ) and garnered the seal of approval from legends such as Congo Natty aka Rebel MC, Ali B and Rodney P amongst others. 

His record releases and collaborations have seen sales grow from the UK to Russia. With works used for film and game, including SSX (2012) by EA Games on both Playstation & Xbox.

Having been born deaf hasn’t stopped him in the drive for his passion and now with the first two singles (Push Back & True Colours) released from his brand new True Colours series receiving support from the likes of Diplo, Opiuo, Shortee Blitz, Semtex and Porter Robinson - the stage is set, let the show begin. 


Dj Caspa legt 70`s Funk and Soul, Funky Breakbeats, Organic Grooves, Hip Hop Classics, Good New School Hip Hop und Electronica Beats auf. 

Sowohl live als auch auf seinen Mixveröffentlichungen versucht er immer seine Zuhörerschaft auf eine eigene Art in den Bann zu ziehen. Dies gelingt ihm in seinen Mixes durch eine Art Musikalische Hörspiele mit Storytelling-Hintergrund wie z.B. auf der Funk-Originalsample CD „Obeisance to the source of Hip Hop“ die in eine Schatzsuchgeschichte verpackt ist, oder auch live durch ausgefallene Sets z.B. mit New School Rap Accapellas über 70er Funk Instrumentale oder auch durch Originalsamples in Vermischung mit den gesampelten Raptracks.

Als absoluter Vinylliebhaber und Originalsampledigger ist er in Süddeutschland in Ulm, Reutlingen, Koblenz und im Bodenseeraum mit seiner Cookerymusic-crew live unterwegs, macht eigene Radiosendungen auf dem Ulmer Lokalsender FreeFM und veröffentlicht Mix CDs die sich durch ihre Individualität großer Beliebtheit erfreuen und auch gerne von größeren Radiosendern wie FM4 und Radio Njoy Hamburg gespielt werden. 

Seit ca. 6 Jahren produziert er auch eigene funk- elektronisch angehauchte Breakbeats im eigenen Homestudio „Abtaun Tradition“ woraus unter anderem auch die Breakbeats „The Uppercut“ und „Explode“ hervorgehen die auf den legendären „Battle of the year Soundtracks 2008 & 2009“ veröffentlicht wurden.

Mit seinen Storytelling Mixtapes ist er ein Pioneer auf diesem Feld.
