Dutch DJ & Producer duo, Bassjackers, are set to drop their newest club-banging hit record “LIKE THAT” on August 18th on Belgian legends Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s SMASH THE HOUSE imprint. 

During last month’s hugely successful Tomorrowland festivals, it seemed like there was one new track that was getting everyone buzzing. Receiving main stage play on both weekends from Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Hardwell, Nicky Romero & Martin Garrix, to name a few “Like That” quickly became an internet hype and topped the 1001 Tracklist “most heard” list from the festival. The track, today officially premiered via the below soundcloud link, features a signature high energy Bassjackers drop that is best suited for exactly that stage 

2014 was already a huge highlight reel for Marlon Flohr & Ralph van Hilst - collectively known as Bassjackers. It started out with the monstrous track “Crackin’ “ (Martin Garrix edit) which topped all the club play charts for much of January & February and is still played by many major name artists. This was soon followed by a collab with LA based DJ MAKJ and the track “DERP” which went on to chart officially in the US Billbaord Dance top 20. The summer also saw a collab release on Revealed with up coming DJ Kenneth G, “RAMPAGE” which was first debuted during Hardwell’s closing set @ Ultra 2014.

The newest release from electro / tech / future house visionary from Connecticut, USA - Cubixx is "GET THAT". New Haven based Cubixx produces Deep House, Tech House and Electro House music. Describing his passion as get up, party and dance music, Cubixx strives to create tracks that transcend the club scene, connecting with house fans on an everyday level—at home, while working out, walking through urban landscapes and especially at house parties. It’s the undefined nature of house music and the genre’s lack of rigid rules that define Cubixx’s go with the flow, let’s see where we end up sound that differentiates him from other artists.

Growing up in San Francisco’s famous Haight-Ashbury neighborhood, Cubixx discovered music production after taking a few music theory courses as an undergrad and playing around with various beats. His first published recording, a Citizen Cope remix, continues to be his most well-known and played track, and the music video for the track has more than 100,000 views on YouTube. He’s currently working on his debut EP. Disclosure, Dusky, Justin Martin, Claude von Stroke and Jay Lumen are his current influences.

In answer to the questions I keep getting asked.
 ccai pt2 , part 1 is Drukqs, as that was the first thing I released that utilised computer controlled instruments, namely a modified Yamaha disklavier, 2nd gen and a couple of midi controlled solenoid based drum mechanisms I made just after I got the Disklavier.

I kept seeing them [disklaviers] in hotels, usually used to pipe muzak around the place and thought why doesn't anyone actually use one of these to compose music on and make beats etc! 
A couple of times when i saw them in hotel lobbies, i sneaked up to the disklavier and set it to play ultra low pitch and very slow, funny watching peoples reactions, it was down every corridor etc
NOBODY i spoke to back in around 1999 inc. people at yamaha knew how to connect one of these to a computer and I had to take my computer into Yamaha to try it out to see how fast these things could go, no info on the net then either.
The first year I burned out countless solenoids in the thing and learnt how to repair them myself, the more recent gen ones like I used at the barbican have temperature cut outs on them thankfully, i’ve still fried a few though!
