Song created & performed with lyrics written by the one and only May Erlewine. 

Having her create this song was one of the 'benefit' levels of supporting her Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to produce, record and create her most recent solo CD "The Long Way Home".

Her and I collaborated on the intention and subject matter of the tune. I wanted it to be about the amazing symbiotic relationship of my partner/wife Heather and our son Miles. To have some poetic approach to their growth together, and that Heather frequently resides in the garden - and how she includes Miles in that wholesome process of growing a garden with the food we eat. 

The tune made me cry on first listen - and I'm curious to hear your thoughts!

Skinny Love by Bon Iver, and the whole For Emma Forever Ago album come to think of it, is absolutely spectacular.

Some people don't take well to it being remixed, but this particular track was one of the the most therapeutic remixes/bootlegs I've had the pleasure of making.

I decided to sit down and make some music that would reflect a bit more of a calm side to me. I was listening to the original track, threw it in my DAW and threw down some crushy destroyed drums under it to get a feel for where to start, and then it just flowed from that point on.

It's not exactly what you'd expect, which has really become what I like doing - surprises.

This was another marathon production binge, which seems to be how I work best.
