Gesture is a new name on the scene, but his sound feels like it’s been simmering beneath the surface for some time now. His music teeters between control and chaos, meticulous precision just about holding together the unruly. Spliced breaks, 2-step rhythms and devastating basslines, all delivered with a rawness that’s unmistakably his own.

It’s fitting, then, that his debut on Programm comes in the form of ‘Complete Madness’. The title says it all: a full-spectrum exploration of where chopped drums and twisted acid lines can lead when pushed to their limit.

On the flip, ‘Black Out’ takes a straighter route but loses none of the weight or intent. A darker, rolling cut built for the later hours and more intimate dancefloors.
