As one half of the Mariner + Domingo duo, American artist Chris Domingo has compiled an impressive resume across an eighteen-month stretch. Upon making his debut on Balkan Connection in July of 2020, the Florida resident went on a remarkable run, landing releases via 3rd Avenue, Proton Music, RYNTH, and The Purr. Perhaps his most comfortable landing spot was Madloch's long-standing Sound Avenue imprint, where Mariner + Domingo released ten originals across ten months, none more impactful than ‘Another Life' and ‘Inertia', which earned play and support from Lee Burridge and Sebastien Leger respectively.

Now embarking on his future musical endeavors in solo capacity, Domingo + returns to Sound Avenue & 3rd Avenue with more releases in 2022 & this beautiful mix for the Miami Winter Music Conference.

Welcome CHɅCHØU to the ElectriX family. She’s based in Vancouver and is manly focused on Melodic Techno, progressive and Techno. I had a blast listening to this set. As well as in BC including Squamish, Whistler, Hope, Chilliwack, Pemberton & Kamloops

Spanish duo Night Stories makes their debut on Steyoyoke Black with a mysterious and compelling 4-track EP titled "Monolith". The EP perfectly balances sparse glittering synths with a hum that asserts the darker side of techno.

The EP begins with "Monolith", which immediately thrusts the listener into an irregular kick and tom beat. Continuing the haunting journey, "Gravity" takes the listener to a place where light only appears in flashes through delicate plucky downward arpeggios. Next, another original, "Black Hole", is composed of sorrowful and dramatic soundscapes that slowly escalate the listener's soul to a more intense and sensual experience. Finally, "Outer Space" forces the listener to appreciate the delicacy of the EP's production.

Night Stories has made an impressive entrance with this release, masterfully balancing strong driving basslines with shimmering and innovative higher layers. The EP shows the diversity of their skills as producers and makes a strong statement about their place in the techno scene.

PROTONICA - FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION
As modern architects envisioned, the structure of an object should primarily be based upon its intended function. Therefore, Piet Kaempfer and Ralf Dietze, aka Protonica, the architects of this creation, decided that each brick, each curve and angle should be built with a lot of thought, love and devotion. Every piece of sound you will hear vibrating through your ear canals has been specially designed from scratch, and was tested under the highest levels of professionals. Thus, Form Follows Function is not like most albums which gets produced and released for the sake of being released, it is exactly the opposite intention – to deviate from the factory like music that surrounds us and craft a form that was thoroughly thought of before, while and after it was conceived.

Form Follows Function is divided into 9 different functions, which were modeled into 9 different forms that will suit its desired function. However, the function is flexible and dynamic, and enables each person that listens to the album to adjust his own prefixed functions and slide into a liquid amorphous ever changing entity. This album is the second masterpiece from Protonica, which comes 5 years after their debut album Search, which was released in 2007. Now it seems that the search for their own style is finished, and the time to dive deep and explore the next stages of their sound has come.

After 5 years of refining and crystalizing their sound, they preserved their old Acid influences, while combining new elements of Progressive and Psychedelic Trance. Dietze and Kaempfer followed the function of their name - Protonica - which means positive charge, and always had the dance floor in mind in order to tell hypnotizing stories which will enchant every person. The guys have collaborated with other superb artists such as Liquid Soul, aka Nicola Capobianco, on the track Floating Point, and another exquisite joint venture where they marked their point of view on Ace Ventura, aka Yoni Oshrat, and Rocky's, aka Roy Tilbor, track Serotonin Overdose.

Halaros was born in Greece in the late 80's.
At a very young age, he discovered his passion for electronic music and computers and he started djing in parties & festivals in 2003.
The idea of electronic music production was conceived in 2009 after a festival he had attended and took the decision to start his own music career.
He is a self-taught musician, also known by the name Psy Friend, in the greek psytrance music scene.
In 2014 he decided to make a turn into house music with the solo project Halaros & the duo project AVenss.
Mostly influenced by the genres of Deep Progressive House, Deep House, Deep Techno,and even Electronica & Ambient.
He likes to produce and remix tracks for various record labels and he already has some good releases on the following records labels:

BIOGRAPHY: 
"Serbian DJane who redefined progressive house." - Cacao Beach Club Management

Marija Nikolic aka. N-tchbl, born and raised in Serbia. Growing up on darkened and quite depressive sounds of '90 Seattle grunge scene and new wave sound, bands like Sonic Youth, Nirvana, Joy Division, Depeche Mode and somewhat more epic Pink Floyd left a deep scar that shows up as present even in her nowadays sound.

At the end of 90's she discovered electronic music. Deep Dish, Satoshi Tomiie, Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Sasha and Martin Garcia led her to the revelation that progressive house with darkish heavy-bass underground background was something that suits her the most. Obsessed with CD stores and collecting vinyls and CDs she fell in love with it, progressive house was something she wanted to live and love.

After "breaking the ice" in 2006th on the very first party she's played, many more followed. In 2008th she became a part of "The iFACE Agency" that collects the best house and progressive artists of Serbia. Besides of the fact that she's played every important venue in her country for the matters of electronic music, with her unique sound she's also the rare one from her country that gained international popularity very quickly. Playing in one of the best world club by DJ Mag jury opinion - "Escape" in Sofia - opened the door of the whole world to her, many inquiries from all around the globe followed. The list of the artists she collaborated and was supported from is rather impressive, to name just a few in here - Moshic, Oliver Morgenroth, Kintar, Faskil, Kliment, Dark Soul Project, DJ Tarkan, Mark Youssef, Mehmet Akar, Andrez and many more.

Her music was immodestly broadcasted on all of the worldwide radiostations, also been a host of her own monthly shows on two different radios. After a dozen of guestmixes on friskyRadio, the trophy finally came - she was invited to record the prestigious "Artist Of The Week" set in in September 2010. The "never dreamt of" dream came true.. and it was not the end. In March 2011 she became a resident of friskyRadio by starting her own "SUBLIMINAL on friskyRadio" montly show that's still going on.. bringing her the opportunity to present the whole new side of deep and dark progressive sound, the female way. Progressive sound that made her fall in love with it back in the previous decade and let that sound never be forgotten.

The evolution of Solidmind took the German producer through genres like Deep House and Afro House, through oriental obscurities and melodic meshings. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that his productions take us on a trip. His mythical pads, his flute sounds and the desert dust that swirls around the chords of his string instrument create a deeply meditative vibe. The rhythm section is heavy on archaic percussions and heavy on the bass, causing an involuntary itch to get moving as if we were caught by a compelling primal energy. The three tracks on this EP are like the chapters of a story: They share the very same soul, but each one gives expression to a different aspect of it.

Progresivna Suza was founded in 2018 as a spontaneous initiative by passionate fans of the progressive house genre from Serbia and Croatia. This organization aims to unite individuals from all over the world who share the same passion, live progressively as part of their daily life, recognize no borders, and want to express their feelings through music uniquely and intimately.

From 2018 to 2020

During the group’s two and a half years of existence, as the number of new members grew, Progressive Suza organized over 20 parties in clubs in Belgrade and Novi Sad under the name Progressive Tales. Local support was provided by progressive house artists such as Bokee, Aćim, Jelly For The Babies, Popi Divine, and Miloš Miladinović, while well-known hosts like Lukai, Igor D., Aleksandar Marković, Hobin Rude, Despić, and Migazz also contributed.

The indispensable podcast began its first season with a weekly show in collaboration with the DeGori Project in 2018. In the second season, the podcast adopted a new, independent name, Progressive Tales. Alongside main episodes, the podcast included bonus editions that offered an open opportunity and support for emerging young DJs from around the world. Over the first three seasons, more than 150 artists participated in the Progressive Tales podcast. Among the artists who collaborated with us are Cid Inc, Dmitry Molosh, Alex O’Rion, Kamilo Sanclemente, Anthony Pappa, Mauro Augugliaro, Kyoto, Lerr, Buba, DJ Ruby, Simos Tagias, Gux Jimenez, Eran Aviner, Ewan Rill, RIGOONI, Stereo Underground, Guy Milani, Forerunners, Lucas Rossi, Jelly For The Babies, and many more.

2020 – 2021

In early 2020, Progresivna Suza hosted its first international performer independently, the brilliant producer East Cafe from Hungary, at the DOT club in Belgrade. In collaboration with the Blender organization in 2021, we organized events such as Guy J All Night Long and DJ Ruby‘s debut at Barutana.

During the pandemic-affected year, we hosted great artists on our YouTube channel including Subandrio, East Cafe, Gui Milani, DJ Ruby, Luciano Scheffer, Mauro Augugliaro, Missus, Andre Moret, Bachir Salloum, Lerr, Adnan Jakubović, Lukai, Buba, Despić, Hobin Rude, Igor D., Aleksandar Marković, JFR, Glow Funk, and Nichols. Over 60 episodes were aired daily under the title Antidepressive Tales.

The first Suza Picnic at Košutnjak in Belgrade, held in June, gathered a large number of group members who enjoyed socializing and culinary specialties by Svetislav Đorđević.

Following the launch of the official website, the content was enriched with numerous interviews featuring prominent artists from both global and domestic scenes, including Anthony Pappa, Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Henry Saiz, Fernando Ferreyra, Navar, Sebastian Sellares, Antrim, Dmitry Molosh, DJ Ruby, Guy Mantzur, Audiostorm, Aćim, and many others. The site also includes member-written articles emphasizing educational content and a selection of the freshest tracklists for fans to discover. Simultaneously, Suza Shop was launched for both Serbian and global markets via Brendly and RedBubble platforms.

The third anniversary was celebrated at the DOT club with a special guest from the Netherlands, the star of the Lost & Found label, Navar.

2022

In 2022, Progresivna Suza embarked on its journey with Suza Records, releasing its initial productions. The first few EPs were signed by Kyotto, Hobin Rude, Andres Moris, and Partenaire.

The podcast lineup was reinforced with the Rove series, offering listeners a different sound and giving artists the freedom to showcase music across genres close to house. Fantastic journeys through organic, deep, micro, and tech house were shared by VieL, Erdi Irmak, Emotional Tourist, Mass Digital, Slow Hearts, Fernando Ferreyra, Nohan, Kento Kumazaki, Roger Martiney, and Yuichiro Kotani.

During the spring season, we hosted another brilliant Dutch producer, Alex O’Rion, at the DOT club, while continuing our collaboration with Tunnel club in Novi Sad, featuring Jelly For The Babies and Lerr.

The first official Lost and Found showcase in Belgrade‘s Barutana club was organized in partnership with Blender organization, featuring performances by Guy J, Roy Rosenfeld, and Hobin Rude.

In August 2022, Suza organized its first two-day festival in the Vojvodina village of Turija. The event at Tatić farm featured 12 performers, including DJ Ruby, East Cafe, N-Tchbl, Jelly For The Babies, Adnan Jakubović, and many others.

The year concluded with the organization’s fourth anniversary celebration at Tunnel club in Novi Sad, where Greek producer Simos Tagias performed for the first time in Serbia.

2023

In January 2023, the organization was officially established as a non-governmental association named “Center for Progressive Culture: Progresivna Suza“.

During the first part of the season, events and guest appearances continued in clubs across Novi Sad and Belgrade. Serbian audiences experienced performances by Israel’s Eran Aviner, Montenegro’s Buba, and guests from Australia GMJ and Olga Misty for the first time.

The second edition of the two-day festival in Turija took place under the new name AVANTURIJA Festival in August 2023. This festival offered a unique experience blending positive energy, nature, music, and artistic activities, all aimed at pure enjoyment. The lineup included Roger Martinez, Stereo Underground, Hobin Rude, Emotional Tourist, Nohan, Missus, Hobin Rude, Igor D., and Bokee.

Suza Records continued its progress, signing 15 releases with artists from around the globe, including Cream, Luman, Stage Van H, Mauro Augugliaro, Missus, Will DeKeizer, NuFects, Kandar, and Rockka.

The fifth anniversary was celebrated at Kult club in Belgrade with performances by domestic artists from three generations: Hobin Rude, Aćim, and N-tchbl.

2024 –

In March, the new concept Retrogressive Tales featuring music from the early 2000s played exclusively on vinyl records began at Kult club in Belgrade, with DJ Ruby and Popi Divine taking the stage.

The traditional Suza Picnic continued with its third edition in May at the same location in Košutnjak, Belgrade.

In collaboration with multimedia house Infinity Lighthouse and Blender organization, Progresivna Suza released the official Serbian edition of the book “Hernan Cattaneo: El Sueño de un DJ”. The book launch took place at Barutana club in Belgrade on June 1st before performances by Hernan Cattaneo and Hobin Rude.

The Progressive Tales podcast entered its seventh broadcasting season alongside the Elevation series.
