FilFla、FourColor、minamoなどでも活動するサウンドアーティスト/コンポーザー・杉本佳一によるハイブリッドなビートミュージックプロジェクト《Vegpher》、今年7月にはDAOKOの4thアルバム『anima』に収録の「VOICE」をVegpher名義で作/編曲、そして11月11日に満を持してVegpher待望の3rdアルバム『Minutus』をリリース！

『Minutus』は"Minute"のラテン語、小さな時間の単位という意味の解釈から「その瞬間を音で捉える」と名付けられた本作で最も印象的なアプローチは、様々な肉声をその瞬間瞬間で表現しながら楽曲としての精度を最大限に高めている様であろう。
前作『PLUS』まではインストかつテクノよりのエレクトロニックミュージックをベースにしていたが、本作においてはトラックリストを見ても分かるように4名の女性ボーカリストを6曲で起用、残り4曲のインストゥルメンタル曲においてもカットアップするなどヴォイスを絶妙なアクセントとして多様に配置しているところが素晴らしい。

アルバムのオープニングを飾る「Secret」はPianaの物憂げな声を見事にプロデュースしたVegpherの手腕が光る。
30年近くに渡り活動をするHACOを起用した「A Mind Resort」はまさに心のリゾート感に溢れている。
M3「Waiting」においてはYMO的な香りも漂わせた奥深いテイストが心地良い。
FilFlaなどでも活動を共にするMoskitooをフィーチャーしたM4「I am」M6「Frozen Maze」らではらしいクールさが一層際立つ。
そしてユニットNgatariとしても活動するJessicaを起用し本作におけるハイライトの１つとも言える「VHF」はその美しい歌声と呼応するマイナー調の展開が深く心に刻まれる。

リズニングを大切にしつつも随所で垣間見えるプロフェッショナルのプロダクション。誰の心にも色濃く残るこの2020年の最後を彩る最高な1枚と言える内容に仕上がっている。

2018年1月にボーカリストYikiiとのユニットanemoneとして同名タイトルの処女作をリリースしたコンポーザーninomiya tatsuki、2018年6月リリースのソロ名義での1st『homebody』、そして2019年2月リリースの2nd『laidback』より約1年8ヶ月、ジャジーでメロウなHip Hopプロダクションはより成熟味を増しスムースかつソフィスティケートされた秀逸・必聴の3rdアルバム『scat』が完成！

Composer ninomiya tatsuki who released the maiden work of the same title as a unit anemone with vocalist Yikii in January 2018, 1st `` homebody'' under the solo name released in June 2018, and 2nd `` laidback'' released in February 2019 About 1 year and 8 months later, the jazzy and mellow Hip Hop production has become more mature and smooth and sophisticated, and the excellent and must-listen 3rd album "scat" has been completed!

The melody and chord work that are gently and variously expressed together with various low beats, and the production sense that draws every scene is truly wonderful.

Beautiful piano invites nostalgia M1 "good time" M3 "sakura" M5 "sorrow" M8 "dilemma", M2 "strength" where the scent of the 80's brings out the sophistication of the city, high of the album where saxophone and piano invite nostalgia From one of the lights, M4 "melty snow", to the cool M10 "rose" reminiscent of ATCQ, from Hip Hop to club-electronic sounds, to jazzy sounds, the supreme reach of many listeners. 【プロフィール】  ninomiya tatsuki

新潟在住のトラックメイカー、ボーカルYikiiとのユニットanemoneのコンポーザー。
ピアノやギターなどの楽器に触れ、バンド活動を始めるも持ち前の協調性の無さから、人と音楽をやる楽しさが見出せず、「一人で音楽をやりたい」という気持ちが芽生える。
後に一人で音楽制作が出来るDTMに興味を持ち、2015年にDTMでの音楽制作を開始する。
当初は歌モノロックをメインに活動するつもりだったが、様々な音楽ジャンルに触れ、それらを自分なりに昇華し、精神世界・心象を音にするというテーマでジャンルに捕らわれずに日記をつけるような感覚で音楽活動を続けている。
2018年1月にはanemoneの1stアルバム『anemone』をPROGRESSIVE FOrMよりリリースする。
また本人名義では2018年1月にEP『furiae』をOthermanRecordsから、2018年4月にアルバム『tranquil』をfumin.からオンラインでリリース。
2018年6月にPROGRESSIVE FOrMから2ndアルバム『homebody』、2019年2月、3rdアルバム『laidback』をリリース。
2020年2月14日にanemoneのEP「flowers」を自主リリース、6月4日にYoshimiとのスプリットアルバム「優しい時間」をDREAM CATALOGUEからリリース。
そして10月14日、ソロとしての4thアルバム『scat』をリリースする。

Artist and musician Emily A. Sprague creates a calming multi-sensory experience set to the ambient sounds of an original arrangement crafted with the Moog One polyphonic synthesizer.

“Chasing Light” is from a short film inspired by the beauty of nature and the joy of connecting with one’s surroundings through sight and sound. To accompany Emily's dreamy soundscapes, this piece (shot primarily with Super 8mm film) takes you inside the artist’s world—her home, the ocean, the mountains. It represents a day in the life of Emily, as she shared her favorite places with us, capturing them through the lens of a camera the same way we captured her adventure.

Four years since their last album in 2016, Marihiko Hara & Polar M return with a breathtakingly beautiful 4-tracks EP. The duo has been travelling and working together a lot before the pandemic strike. However, since April in 2020 like many of us, they have been staying at home most of the time.

During a challenging time like this, listening and composing new music has again become a sanctuary for them. Although physically separated, both started to share some musical sketches and ideas via file swapping. Before long, a brand new EP was born.

This EP, entitled 'Our Season', is the 1st instalment of the 'Music for Home' series curated by mü-nest label - a series that focuses on home-listening music that reflects the mood and feelings of our daily life during this unprecedented period in pandemic. And what a great way to start the series, with the duo's exquisite music reminding us about joy and hope in life.

These 4 tracks, crafted with the duo's signature elegant piano notes and heartfelt guitar lines, resemble the state of their minds during the pandemic period - delicate, quiet, but ready to rise whenever the time comes.

'They are like the preserved energy in the soil, ready for the next spring,' the duo added. The current challenging time may continue for a while. While we are leaning against the wall, Marihiko Hara & Polar M's music resembles a window, for us to see and imagine the landscapes beyond, and remind us that our season will come again, for us to share and cherish.

About Marihiko Hara & Polar M:

Marihiko Hara is a composer residing in Kyoto, Japan. Born in 1983. Graduated from Kyoto University. He produces electronic and acoustic, ambient, experimental and beat music. Marihiko also composes music for theatre performances and people involved in many fields, such as visual artists and traditional Japanese instrumentalists. The short movie "COLUMBOS" (Directed by KAWAI + OKMURA) of which he composed the soundtrack, was awarded Silver Dragon for the Best Animated Film at Krakow Film Festival. Marihiko is also a project member of Shiro Takatani (Dumb Type).

Polar M is the solo project of Masumi Muranaka who resides in Kyoto, Japan. His beautiful soundscapes are created mostly by electric guitar, and he is also a guitarist for musicians of various genres in Japan. Apart from his own work being regularly played in local cafes, apparel shops and exhibitions, he has also made a series of performances with contemporary improvised dance. Many of his works were used for short films and image arts which have led to various collaborative works. Given that Masumi graduated with a major in image arts and sciences, as well as working as an illustrator, this is perhaps not much a surprise.

Keiichi Sugimoto is an international artist and composer from Japan. He plays in several sound projects such as FilFla, FourColor, Vegpher, Minamo and Fonica. His compositions have been released from record labels　throughout the world such as 12K (US), apestaartje (US), TOM LAB (Germany), and HEADZ (Japan). As FourColor, his album "Water Mirror" was chosen among the best electronica albums in the THE WIRE magazine (UK). He has also toured extensively in Europe, Asia, Australia, the United States, and Canada.
He has provided numerous tracks to films, visuals, plays, exhibitions, television, web commercials, and company videos. In 2004, FourColor provided the music for director Jun Miyazaki's "FRONTIER", appearing at the Cannes film festival. In addition, the film won the "Young Viewpoint" award during the director's week. In 2006 at the France Aix-en-Provence film festival, Keiichi Sugimoto won the original soundtrack prize, for his soundtrack of "Whirr", a film by German director Timo Katz. By 2007, these achievements had lead Sugimoto to be registered to the French film composers association (U.C.M.F).
In addition to his artist activities, in 1999 he established Cubic Music, a record label to release music and to organize events. Some of the artists he has released include World's End Girlfriend, Kyo Ichinose, piana, and No.9. He has also been active in inviting foreign labels and artists to perform in Japan, as well as organizing tours for international labels such as 12K, Hapna and TOM LAB.

It is not too difficult to appreciate the melodies of the piano. We have all been familiar with for such a long time, and to notice it as "beautiful". But when you hold piano strings inside of a piano, wrapped around each other, it makes a dull, dim sound, and you realize a different appeal that is separated from the way it originally sounds. My music is a quest in search of these new, unique, and funny sounds underneath, that would attract listeners, not only to perceive beautiful sounds as beautiful, but by layering each of the sounds delicately, it would form original subtleness and textures. By composing them together precisely, they are transformed into "music": Harmonies and dis-harmonies, vagueness and clearness, digital and analog, necessity and accidents. My aim is to deal with these opposite factors on the same level to create a unique music.
