Astral Records opens the new year by welcoming Far From Home & Retoric to the label for their first collaborative project. Based in Argentina and comprised of Lautaro Lopez Delgado & Lucas Amicone, Far From Home crafts mystical melodic techno which takes listeners on a journey. The duo's otherworldly sound has found a home on Be Free Recordings, Coalescentia Records, Heinz Music, Sequence Music and more. Astral Records has also been a home for the duo's cutting edge sound, making their label debut in 2022 with the well received 'Gates to Atlantis'. Meanwhile, Spanish artist Retoric has made impressive strides since emerging in 2019 with an EP via ARKHAMRA. The Madrid resident has earned the praise of Tale Of Us, The Element and Oostil, while continuing to display sophisticated sound design and memorable musical themes throughout his productions. Now, combining their extensive forces for the first time, Far From Home and Retoric begin 2024 on Astral Records with 'The Arrival', alongside remixes from Paul Anthonee and LORRAINNE.

Adam Sellouk returns to Afterlife with a powerful solo EP. 

After remixing, and collaborating with, Anyma, Adam Sellouk joins Afterlife with his own solo release. Blending melodic elements with crisp sound design, Adam’s EP emits a power from its core. The opening track, a collab with KAS:ST, unites tough layers with a deeper layer of emotion. On ‘Confusion’ he teams up with Glowal to splice a robotic vocal clip with a highly emotive melody and melodrama to great effect. Lastly, ‘Poison’ is comprised heartfelt vocals, melancholy and potent stabs, closing out the EP with a solo cut.

With his two-track EP, Alphadog demonstrates his amazing versatility whilst bringing a new sound to the Simulate universe. The title track ‘Expected’ offers a symphony of simple but effective melodies and chord progressions emulating the vast wilderness surrounding the Simulate planet, as reflected in the release artwork. Track 2 ‘Revolution’ brings another dimension to the EP with a more driving and energetic approach led by an arpeggiated synth line complimented by a unique and eerie vocal evoking visions of the higher-power beings that control the Simulate planet.
