For their 75th release, Meanwhile turn to two of the biggest names in modern Progressive House as Mike Rish and Kasper Koman return to remix each other on "Biome" and "GT".

A self-styled "quiet achiever" Mike Rish has been at the sharp end of the progressive scene for more than 15 years and approaching a century of production credits. A hatful of those have come on GMJ & Matter's Top 5 Beatport Progressive House imprint, spanning a productive 4-year period from late 2021. A magnificent 12 original tracks have spanned a quartet of 3-track EPs that began with "Beyond" and end most recently with May 2025's "Sunset on Mars / Tornn / Shokl". A single remix of Jamie Stevens' "Storm Front" is now joined by a second as the Melbourne artist reinterprets Kasper Koman's number 1 selling "Biome". Creating a pounding new beat, flowing percussive groove and mesmeric bass sequence, familiar effects from the original quickly make their presence felt. Building in intensity throughout its 8-minute duration, lengthy reverb tails and white-noise effects add to the dense atmosphere before a huge, pitched note rises in the breakdown to a hands-in-the-air moment. Dropping back into familiar rhythmic territory throughout the third movement, Mike Rish's production talent is on full display.

From Utrecht in central Netherlands, Kasper Koman has forged a unique identity and reputation as one of underground dance's most revered figures. Responsible for multiple Beatport number 1s, he is a self-defined "designer of infectious beats, syncopated rhythms and impelling melodies." The resultant output is thus a "unique blend of happiness, darkness and emotions." A career spanning nearly 20 years has subsequently led to releases on John Digweed's Bedrock Records, Guy J's Lost & Found and the evergreen Anjunadeep. The best-selling "Biome / Sinking Sky" EP marked a high watermark on Meanwhile in early 2024 as Kasper returns to the label to remix "GT" from Mike Rish's June 2023 triple-tracker. Using the tribal rhythms that formed the foundation of the original, Kasper quickly deviates from Mike's work with an inspiring bassline sequence that growls menacingly across the low-end. Waxing and waning with dancefloor ease, the mid-point finds a glorious array of effects from "GT" underpinned by a metronomic beat. Reaching a rousing crescendo, a huge analogue arp builds before a snarling effects-laden backdrop drives through the latter stages.

Powering forward at relentless pace into a new era, Mike Rish and Kasper Koman discover new worlds with "GT" and "Biome".

Besnik Koshi aka Extenzion was born September 12th, 1984 in Sarajevo in the corridor of the maternity hospital since he was so impatient to see the world around him. He started showing interest in the electronic music at the beginning of year 2000 when he attended festival „Futura“ which was first festival of this kind in SE Europe. After that he joined organization „Positive Sound“ where he started learning and improving his knowledge as well as working on promotion of parties and electronic culture in Sarajevo. At the beginning of year 2005 in cooperation with a very good friend of his, Mersel Bujak (aka Infected) he started working on a concept of a radio show „E Music Magazine“ on a local radio station 202 which was always symbol of urban, alternative music and experimental sound in Sarajevo. After sudden success of this radio show at the end of year 2005 they started working on the project „10 years of electronic scene in Sarajevo“ which was broadcasted as New Year's program on Radio 202. After that they worked on promoting Festival Exit (in 2005 and 2006) and through their voluntary work supported rebuilding Dom mladih – Center Skenderija which was simbol of youth even in the past and through that accomplished cooperation with Revival Festival. In 2006 he started working as a resident DJ in Sarajevo's clubs „The Bar“ and „Cinema Sloga“ where he shared his knowledge about electronic music and love for it through his sets that were always different and which were blending Deep-House, Tech-House, Progressive-House and Techno sounds. In July 2006 he had joint performance with DJ Incefected under the name „Infected & Extension“ on a festival Exit on a set DJ Superstar where they had impressive performance. After that performances were just lining up in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia and Kosovo where he always tried to transfer his positive energy and knowledge he gained. He created many compilation CDs that left impressive impact and got amazing feedback from the audience (Progressive Sevdah, Cold & Heat, I Go Deep, Elixir of Life). He established cooperation with Darin Epsilon and Eelke Klejn through promotion of their shows on Radio 202 and educating people on current sound all over the world. He also worked with names like Hernan Cattaneo,Darren Emerson,Luis Junior, DJ Tarkan,Randell Jones. In the future he would like to continue sharing gained knowledge and spread love among people through his sets because life without music wouldn't be way it is today.
