Release Info: 
Dutch prodigy Budakid returns to Exploited for his third mesmerising EP on the label, with two fresh new opuses for your delectation. 

‘The End’ is one of his typically cinematic tracks, reminiscent of ‘90s melodic breakbeat types Hybrid. Hovering, Reese-toned bass looms subtly over intricate, light broken beats and gently enveloping string progressions. Crisp and spacious, the arrangement is honed to perfection. Muted, gated stabs echo the ghost of ‘90s trance in the breakdown, fusing beautifully with the breaks when the beat drops back in. Soft cymbal rides splash across the surface as the elements fuse back together for a restrained crescendo. Perfect for the afterhours or a spot of deep meditation.

‘Linguistic’ sees Budakid in more of a deep house / melodic techno mood. Subtle synth licks waft across the stereo field as live percussion forms a groove and wildlife sounds create a heady atmosphere deep in the distance. A plodding  groovy bassline drives its way into the foreground, while minimialist layers of electronics build the mood. The brain-twisting breakdown makes more great use of noise gating as a dizzying lead soars and pulses. It’s a great piece of work that centres more on mood and texture than melody, and in doing so recalls classic progressive house sounds.

Musik war schon immer ein ganz wesentlicher Bestandteil & ein treuer Begleiter in meinem Leben. Musik ist für mich ein Antreiber, ein tragendes Element, sie lässt mich Gefühle fühlen & mich spüren, gibt mir Kraft & lässt mich Energie schöpfen. Musik hilft mir, genauso wie meine tägliche Yogapraxis, mich mit mir selbst zu verbinden & in einen besseren Kontakt mit mir selbst zu kommen und gibt mir ebenfalls Ruhe und Entspannung. 

Musik ist Verbindung, Verbindung zu sich Selbst und zu seinen Mitmenschen! Musik lässt uns fühlen, lässt uns spüren, lässt uns in Kontakt mit uns selbst und mit anderen Menschen kommen. „Musik ist der soziale Klebstoff unserer Gesellschaft.“ (Dominik Eulberg)

Sozialisiert durch Punk, Hardcore und Metal habe ich über die letzten fünf Jahre meinen Weg zur elektronischen Musik gefunden und eine musikalische Evolution durchlebt, welche ich mir nicht mehr anders vorstellen kann! :-) 

Elektronische Musik erzählt Geschichten, lässt uns emotionale Reisen durchleben…. die Beats sind die Herzschläge und das ganze Sound- und Klangspektakel drumherum (ob harmonisch oder disharmonisch,  rhythmisch oder vertrackt, chaotisch oder voller Harmonie und im Einklang) das bunte Treiben des Lebens.

Ich liebe Musik und genauso ist es mir eine Herzensangelegenheit Musik weiterzuempfehlen…ich möchte andere daran teilhaben lassen. Musik verbindet & sagt mehr als tausend Worte! Deshalb möchte ich die Musik sprechen lassen und poste sonntags  „Das Set zum Sonntag“ , ein Set aus dem Bereich der elektronischen Musik, welches mir persönlich sehr am Herzen liegt, Sets welche mich selbst sehr berühren.

Musik war schon immer ein ganz wichtiger Bestandteil & ein treuer Begleiter in meinem Leben. Ich möchte hiermit kein Geld verdienen oder so, sondern einfach andere Menschen daran teilhaben lassen und das Gegebene in der Welt verbreiten.

Brief Story of my musical life!
Hi, dear music lovers, 
*My name is Johan F. Langhendries and at the age of two, I became interested in music. Believe it or not, I was a very quiet child and I often listened to music on my father's radio. Jazz, Rock, Classic, just everything! A little later, at age 4 and 5, my grandmother learned me what a C-chord was on her piano, in the different octaves. Later on, she learned me also the other chord. At the age of six, I started making my own drums with wash-powder boxes and I used wooden kitchen spoons to make the sound of a “drum”. When I was 8, several albums like for example; “Let it be” by The Beatles, Block Buster by The Sweet, Black & Blue by The Rolling Stones, etc... were a part of my drum exercise experiences as a young kid. 

° At the age 10, I learned to play on a real drum-kit and trumpet and was also following music theory in two different music schools, for six years, to fill up my evenings on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On Saturday morning and Wednesday afternoon, I had to go to our music theory class and we learned how to write music, etc… At the age of 12, I had my first second-hand drum-kit and at sixteen i started playing in a Punk-Rockband. Lots of fun indeed! At age 18 I  went to study at private school ‘Haleweyn ‘Jazz-Studio’ in Antwerp and learned a lot more about Jazz music and how to play it... I Love to play Jazz, but Funk and Rock became the biggest part of my drumming experience.

– EXPERIENCE; I’ve played as a professional drummer in many bands (Belgium) like ‘Citizen Jane’ (Jazz/Pop) for 5 years with one CD recording and many concerts. I’ve been a studio recording drummer and have worked 40 years as a drummer;  Live concerts, Recording drummer and albums with different rock bands, etc. I still do and learn of course!

– MY PROJECTS SINCE 2004 are; Wannislas(aka) and Abstinent Dazzle (Band). With these two projects, I make some Funky, Dance, Reggae, Rock & Jazz (Fusion) music.    In my third project; Johan Franz Lang (feat. Space Orchestra) I make a kind of contemporary chill-out, easy listening music. 

- I followed a sound engineering class for 2 years (age 29) and do the mastering for my albums and sometimes for other artists -

FLØAT erzählt mit seinen Sets Geschichten und malt sie so richtig bunt aus. Querfeldein zwischen ambienten Beats, groovigem House und knusprigem Techno. Schon ewig und 3 Tage (so genau wissen wir das gar nicht mehr, der Typ war auf jeden Fall sehr jung) jongliert er mit Tracks aus aller Welt.

He has been juggling tracks from all over the world for ages and 3 days (we don't really know anymore, the guy was definitely very young).
