Do you ever feel alone in these cold and dark times? This new release on Eating People soothes your January-blues. 

The title track of this EP „Not Alone“ from Egotape takes us with it’s very unique sound to a melancholic and emotional world. Multi-layered strings create a painful tension throughout the track - a reminiscence of the times we have been through

Finally this dissonance is released by a hopeful and gentle vocal. Music connects us and lights up the dark times. After all we are NOT ALONE.

The remixer Hidden Empire, Bebetta and Le Palf are taking the original track to the dance floor. 

Bebetta delivers with her remix a powerful Prime-time track with a focus on melodic elements, driving drums and a surprising twist after the break. It brings back the feeling that we are all together. After the darkness comes the light. 

The EP is rounded off by a very well balanced remix by Hidden Empire who combine exciting drum elements with sentimental chord progressions and an energetic break. Injecting bass and groove manages to give their remix a straightforward, yet dreamy and solid groove appeal.

As a digital bonus Le Palf comes along with his soulful deep house version. He deconstructs the original track into a hypnotical trip with a strong groove, reduced pitched-down vocals and a futuristic, dark aesthetic.

Monumental times have arrived for Steyoyoke Recordings, as they venture into unchartered waters. This new project accumulates for years of hard work and marks the release of their very first album titled ‘Equilibrium’. The Steyoyoke artists are united within a unique concept, that utilises the four classical elements of fire, air, water and earth, bringing you a creative expression that reflects a state of balance between art, music and the natural elements. "Over the last 10 years, Germany’s D-Nox and Beckers have enjoyed something of a cult existence. Formed from a mutual love of the music, they were individually successful already; their meeting of minds transcending that almost immediately. Meaty and full of soul, their releases soundtrack a million e-moments with regular support from an army of peers in the Prog House world. Polyacid is no exception. Built around a bubbling acid line it twists and weaves its tale to a point where you’re genuinely upset when it finishes. 

  With such big boots to fill, the remixers had to pull out all the stops. First up, Dutch wunderkind and Lost and Found regular, Navar opts for a stripped back approach hanging the main motifs from a calming percussive network of hats, claps and woodblocks. Stereo Underground builds his mix around a repeating synth hook which quickly mesmerises as he defty mutates and twists its sound throughout. Rounding out the pack, Definition marries afro-house percussion with strings and piano to create a wondrous light and dark opus, bubbling with acidic undertones.  "

Soul Button releases his new EP Metamorphosis, transcending techno confinements and mobilising listeners for the forthcoming revolution in return. Dystopian depictions mirror societal upheaval by presenting a disorientating frenzy in the three songs striking imagery.

Fur Coat’s Oddity imprint seeks to continue its quality musical output. For the thirteenth release of the label, they welcome Esoteric Circle who present a stacked package of Melodic Techno, with two remixes to boot.

Esoteric Circle is born from the minds of two French brothers, Julien and Raphael Piacentino. Bringing their emotions together into a new and innovative sound, they focus on elaborate synth melodies and minimal percussive sounds to create tracks aimed directly at the dance-floor.

The Parisian duo present four original tracks on the EP, the first of which is ¨Odissea¨. Characterised by deep basslines and moving melodic progressions this sets the tone for the EP, transporting you to the deeper moments on the dance-floor. Moving forward “Matina del Amor” offers a faster paced setting, agile percussion programming pushes the track onwards taking the listener with it on its journey.

Lastly “Tomorrow Is In Your Hands” the title track mixes up the offerings. Opting for a two step style beat, this switches the script perfectly, developing synths over the top of the off kilter beat provide an emotive and thought provoking tracks. Lastly “Night Appearance” rounds of the package, a slower and impassioned track which brings set ending moments to mind.

Joining the brothers on the package are Julian Wassermann and Remcord, neither are strangers to the Oddity family and both provide remixes of “Odissea” and “Tomorrow Is In Your Hands” respectively.
Julian’s remix provides a lighter edition to the original, whilst Remcord’s remix offers a darker and deeper sound, both dovetailing on the record nicely. 

Esoteric Circle have Putting forward a strong and soundly compiled EP. An expansive pack, offering a large amount and tying in perfectly with the sound that Oddity has been making its name with.
