Following the debut of his track 'Marta' a couple of months ago on our 'Miami WMC 2016' Sampler, Armen Miran is back to showcase his latest 'Lost Found EP'.

The EP includes two eclectic original tracks named 'Lost Found' & 'Jojo In The Stars'. Both are organically produced in slow-motion with ethnically charged drum patterns, melodies and vocals. 

On remix duties, first up, we welcome back Hraach who delivers a Slow remake  of 'Jojo In The Stars'. Known for his keyboard work, Hraach wrote and composed his own melodies and injected a little more ethnicity, nostalgia and drama into his timeless rendition. 

Last but certainly not least, we are also happy to welcome back Robot Needs Oil to the label who delivers a groovy, tribalistic and four to the floor club version of 'Jojo In The Stars' that's destined for the late night hours.

He’s been around. Having already an active involvement with electronic music and beyond managing his own label Karakter Records (@karakter-records) or playing in all corners of Europe, the Portuguese Amsterdam-based DJ and music producer Pedro Martins (@pedro-martins-music) has released previous works on labels such Areal, Submarine Vibes & Blankhaus; tracks which represents different faces of his musical apprenticeship. But after taking two years off from production, he returns with refreshed ideas and insights channeled into his brand new EP entitled ‘Kerala’, featuring the clarinetist Martin Grozdanoski.

In point of fact, this work is the first in a series of four ‘chapters’, from whence the original idea was to create an epic sonic from India to Portugal via Morocco. This is due, mainly, to the huge amount of material collected when Martin came to play the clarinet in Pedro’s studio early this year. Together, they realized that to juggle things around it would be better to approach the recordings in sequential EP’s, therefore, taking full advantage of the whole material which has been recorded. At this very moment, Casa Caos proudly releases the beginning of this saga.

Bathed by the Arabian Sea in the extreme southwest of India, Kerala is one of the 28 states of the country, well-known for its coconut palm-lined coasts, a lethargic ensemble of backwaters, stately houseboats and tea-covered hills. Under this laid-back scenario, they put together an intense tropical soundscape blended in quite mysterious timbres and melodies. Pedro played the djembe & congas while the theme in the clarinet was heavenly leaded by Mr. Grozdanoski. 

Despite many instances in which they’ve exploited the composition, there is a continual tenseness curving around, which nicely contrasts with the receptive atmosphere between wind instruments and reverberating elements. To complete the package for an all-around downtempo experience the EP includes a trustworthy multi-layered remix by the ancestral futuristic Portuguese producer BirdZzie (@birdzzie).

Short but not forgettable, sounding warm and intimate, the creative spirit is clearly heard throughout ‘Kerala EP’. And as a result, each listening holds a new discovery on this tropical symphony. Even if the sequencing still has to be tabled, this first of four chapters certainly provides an assertive starting point.

For release number 186 on Ready Mix we welcome talented Hungarian artist Robert R. Hardy, also known as D.M.P., proudly unveiling his brand new ethnic/downtempo alias, rBert.

Commencing rBert's debut release is 'Vagabundos', a languid and deep mid-tempo electronic cut that simply shimmers with oriental mystery. 

Shadowy Swedish duo Elfenberg lift the tempo into moody progressive house territory, retaining a strong flavor of the Orient, while adding pulsing synths and potent percussion into the mix.

Second original track 'Sinere' sees rBert lay down a compelling deep house groove, over which ethereal vocals gently entwine with flutes and subtle plucked strings in a heavenly chorus. 

Greek producer VieL offers up a sublime reworking of 'Sinere', concocting a warm and comforting atmosphere with his airy and effortless arrangement.

Unable to get enough of rBert's sounds, Elfenberg return to remix 'Sinere', cleverly juxtaposing those sweet vocals and strings with brooding synths and insistent, snappy drums.

House music deeply rooted in the exploration of those traditional roots. A unique background that at all is fought with his passion for clubbing and analogue sounds. “Guoyoro” and “Cántaro”, the other original titles included on this magical trip, amply prove it. Bufi proposes the perfect storm between ethnicity and remarkable elements of early house, nu-disco and robotic sounds. All of them smoothly blend in, while still enriching every track. 

“Ópala” EP is completed with a true tornado, a rebellious rework by Depaart duo. Kinky beats enraged with tactical vocal samples, acid and noir-ish synths. Full-fat sounds, all well placed in a frenetic yet luxuriant blend of mechanical dance music.

First up on "The Long Haul" EP is the title track that sets the mood with a smooth growing tension melted to perfection with the bass and the hypnotic synths. Moving on, the next one is "Taiko Dreams" that immediately hits you hard with a strong bassline and mental arpeggios that grow into a trancey journey ideal for a sweaty night. "Bunker" brings you into the mental trip the duo wanted to take me you and everyone else, again with hypnotic arpeggios and dreamy pads that grow into an interstellar Sci-Fi chase. Finally, to close this mental trip, you ahve another duo to enjoy for remix duties, Club Tularosa. They've put out some bombs last year and this time they took "Taiko Dreams" and gave it a treatment for big clubs and festivals making it an epic journey that explodes into a dance frenzy.
