Akbal Music, a label that started in the Riviera Maya launched in 2006 in Mexico and by now travelled around the globe and connected with amazing artists and musicians is celebraring this year it´s 15 years milestone and we are hyper happy for this achievement releasing a massive compilation divided in 3 parts perfect to keep the momentum of this historic celebration.

The third episode of our 15 years celebration comes with tracks by Zone+ , El Mundo & Flowers on Monday, Namito collaborating with Brams Sedrati and finally our own Mexican artistis Balcazar with Ismaehl and Replicanth .

Expect to be a full journey on sound with multiple layers and various soundsacpes.

The latest release on Madloch's 3rd Avenue imprint welcomes Hyunji-A from Montreal, Canada back to the label for the remix EP of "Sunset Drive". In Montreal, she played at venues such as Newspeak and Stereo.

Last year, Hyunji became the Sound Avenue Talks podcast show host, where she interviews artists from the SA label group.

Baez, Yumi Kobayashi, and Ric Niels got invited to make a remix on this EP.

'Close friend of the label and synth magician Beatamines is back on Heinz Music with two beautiful tracks. And we are here for it!

"Prophet EP" is a great example of how niftily Beatamines navigates the waters between catchy grooves and dramatic melodies. The title track has a kind of chanty backdrop while smooth percussions bounce around playing catch with the synth elements. An odd game of catch me if you can, that draws you into this mystical soundscape.

Second track of the EP is "Grandma". A dreamy synth swipes over you before the beat kicks in. The timbre of the synth gives us the feeling you get when you watch clouds floating by on a summer day, light as a feather. It is warm, it is fuzzy, but with a powerfulness to it that keeps pulsing forwards.

Nothing less than two magnificent tracks, giving you the whole spectre of emotions needed to create intense moments of joy and freedom on the dance floor.'

XYZ is thrilled to welcome a Dutch aficionado to the label family as 2022 kicks into high gear. Helsloot has made tremendous waves in the last decade working behind the scene with some of dance music’s titans, and his individual projects harness influences from progressive, deep house, disco, and techno. Berlin native Nico Stojan returns to Crosstown Rebels, this time teaming up with Italian native Tooker. The two track EP entitled Frisbee is true to the label, taking the listener on a melodic journey perfectly set for the magical desert of Burning Man or the jungles of Tulum.

Frisbee pays homage to the duos' everyday life and connection that they have together. “Frisbee was created after spending a beautiful afternoon playing frisbee in the park in Berlin. Nico and I were born on the same day in December and Luna was born during the night of the Lunar eclipse in Sagittarius.”

Nico & Tooker create this scene perfectly as the title track opens proceedings, captivating the listener from the off set with delicate 4 x 4 beat before waves of harmonious elements and melodic synths pick you up and take you on a journey, like a frisbee gliding through the air on a warm summer's day. Luna further emphasises the inspiration behind the production. The listener is taken on a metaphorical voyage through the cosmos, with futuristic, space-like melodies and finely placed percussions that twinkle in and out of the track giving a perfect accompaniment to the deeper, darker bass heavy beats at the core of the piece.

This may be their first release together but Frisbee signifies a deep connection between the two that could fool anyone into thinking they have been producing as a duo for some time. Nico is no stranger to Crosstown Rebels having had previous standout releases on the label such as Killing Your Lover and Belladonna. As the co - founder of Quie Records, together with Acid Pauli, the Berlin native has planned to produce more showcases and present his vision of modern dance music across the globe. This vision is embodied beautifully within this EP. Having recently embarked on a solo career, Italian Christopher Tooker is probably best known as one half of KMLN which has seen him playing exciting parties across the globe including; Wonderfruit, Meadows in the Mountains and Burning Man to name a few.

With Matthias Meyer enjoying a fantastic year, the in-demand Berlin-based Producer & DJ revisits the debut release on his Strangely Enough label, with emotional and powerful remixes from acclaimed producers and friends Guy Mantzur & Tamir Regev, Amine K, Urmet K, and Forty Cats, released together on 29 July. 

Each of the producers have added their own special touch to the ‘Strangely Enough’ remixes to ensure an exciting variety of updates which are perfect for this summer’s busy festival and club season. From the Guy Mantzur and Tamir Regev’s poignant peak-time reworking, to Amine K’s two deeper, yet magical remixes. Urmet K delivers a stirring update ideal for sunset sets, whilst Forty Cats takes her version into atmospheric and progressive house territory. 

Matthias Meyer said: “’Strangely Enough’ is an important track for me and the reason I started the label. Whilst everybody loved it, it didn’t fit on any labels. I wanted to have some new, playable versions for this summer. Guy Mantzur is one of my favourites and he really transformed it into an emotional banger. Amine K has been a good friend for around 10 years and his version is less straight, but has some wicked melodies. Urmet made a nice, deep and soft All Day I Dream kind of version. Forty Cats’s update is also really nice. It has more of a proggy vibe, which I like to play out too.”

Having contributed the excellent ‘Mauna Loa’ to John Digweed’s landmark ‘Bedrock XX’ compilation, Hannes Bieger now returns with his dynamic debut EP for the label. As one of Europe’s most in-demand mixing engineers Hannes has built an untouchable reputation, with an exhaustive client list that includes some of the biggest names in contemporary house and techno. In 2017, after 11 years in the world of mixing and mastering, Hannes decided to shine a spotlight on his creative talents as an artist, emboldened by years of experience, a renewed zest for production and a lifelong romance with electronic music. 

Since then, Hannes has focused his energy on producing his own music and building an unforgettable live show. A debut EP and follow-up for Steve Bug’s Poker Flat, releases for Audiofly’s Flying Circus, Alex Niggemann’s Aeon, and a remix for Monkey Safari, alongside his ‘Bedrock XX’ contribution, have seen this masterful German artist rapidly recognised as a talent that cannot be ignored. Now, his four-track ‘Stars EP’ raises the creative bar ever higher.

The title track is a wistful, pensive vocal trip showcasing the amazing Juan Hansen from Buenos Aires, whose soothing voice is the perfect juxtaposition to Hannes’ drama-tinged composition. The past couple of years have seen this supremely talented, trained composer/musician/vocalist, rapidly becoming legendary in the clubs of Argentina, guided by an exemplary ethos of mixing genres without prejudice – if you haven’t already, check Juan’s recent ‘Kobalt EP’ collaboration (BEDDIGI124). ‘Stars’ is a masterclass in subtle genius with a distinct emotive edge, swirling with delicious energy and teasing acidic motifs. It also comes in an equally engrossing, stripped-back ‘Dub’ version for those less vocally inclined.

‘Scoria’ is a pacey, sinister cut with contagious energy and unsettling atmospherics, further highlighting Hannes’ deft creative skills. The track’s dancefloor-driven attitude and complimentary brooding arrangement results in an entirely distinctive individualistic take on the techno blueprint. The highly hypnotic ‘Titan’ is a gloriously jittery ride, featuring layers of spine-tingling electronic wizardry over an infectious percussive groove – a perfect finale to an exceptional EP.
