Having been heavily involved in both London and New York music scenes over recent years 'Rashid Ajami' arrives on HK Records with his unique sound inspired by both cities.

Rashid's taste for deep, emotive productions has seen him gain some serious support from house heroes Maya Jane Coles and Jody Wisternoff plus a string of releases on Anjunadeep, Armada and Tube & Berger' Kitball label.

It's time for another daily Christmas gift through our labels PHW / PHW Elements, and today we bring you back in time, as we see the first ever PHW Elements original getting a brand new makeover. We had the pleasure to bring on the Serbian deep producer Vlada D'Shake as our first member in the ever growing PHW Elements family, and we are of course thrilled to see what has happened on the label over the past year and a half. There is a lot more interesting things to happen around the labels.

Here you see another fantastic edition on this brilliant original, and we are overwhelmed to see one of our close buddies giving the treat, as one of the kindest and best in the business , Fractal Architect joins back with us for another sweet piece of music!

With another stellar year under her belt, Anja Schneider is hitting 2016 in inspired form. A new year means a fresh sound for the Berliner, who is diving deep into her record collection to draw inspiration from a variable palette of sounds from across the years. 

The accomplished three tracker kicks off with ‘Soul Traveler’, a rich jazzy vocal-led techno cut that shakes with Schneider’s unmistakable groove. Deeply nuanced and analogue-driven, ‘Vintage’ mixes up low humming bass, multi-layered drums and melodic chords for a beautiful deep techno offering. ‘Bay Side’ drips with atmosphere and is the artist’s brilliant twist on tech funk, driven by punchy keys, intricate drums and cascading synth hook that builds the tempo towards a satisfying dancefloor-ready crescendo.

Anja Schneider’s ‘Soul Traveller’ EP is her first collaboration with producer and engineer Jan-Eric from Autotune.

Last summer his 'Len Faki Goes Black' remix of 'Black On Black' slammed around dancefloors with it's devilsh low-end and now his 'Len Faki Goes White' edit offers up a more serene take on the original. 

The basslines are more prominent and there's less menace, providing a cut that will both warm-up and transport any crowd who hears it. Powerful stuff from the German mainstay.

A long time server on the scene and with us on PHW Elements, Haroun Omar returns after a spell away, and we are as grateful as ever to see him come back to us, this time with a collaboration with NAZ, the brilliant producer based in US. With this deep house influenced production, named as “Weeping Motherland”, we see another side of their game, and they deliver a classy act, just as expected.

On remix duty we see another collaboration, as Volkan Erman makes his debut on PHW Elements, together with returning artist Hypnotic Progressions. They deliver a stripped down and funky retake, as they deliver one that we feel is to shine, if your game is the deeper side of underground music. It’s a beast as always from these guys and we are thrilled to show another dimension on the label. 

The 2nd remix comes from the 2nd alias of Jacek Gumbisz, more known to us through his absolutely amazing Monojoke alias, the Poland based artist comes here with his alias for deep house, Telekollektiv. With a funky and warm approach on this interpretation, he once again proves he is a producer, having full control of his DAW. It’s another excellent production from this very talented artist.

The second single from Steve Bug & Langenberg's new project together serves up another reminder why both producers are held in such high regard. 

Steve Bug's unwavering dedication to house music had brought forward yet another winning combination on his own Poker Flat Recordings label, this time with Langenberg - himself a key part of the deep house vanguard in Europe. 

'NGC 6240' is one of the harder edged tracks from the album 'Paradise Sold' - a techy, urgent work out with rising arpeggiated leads and sense of impending euphoria. 

Long time collaborator Tim Englehardt drops by to deliver a signature remix - taking the track in a deeper direction and opening up the arrangement to a trippy, tightly wound groove. 

The techno veteran Vince Watson also shares his vision for the track in another remix presented here - adding assistant claps and percussions and stretching out the drama over eight and half minutes.
