With Guy J’s eagerly anticipated third artist album drawing ever closer on John Digweed’s Bedrock Records, the first offering is delivered in the form of three intricately crafted productions titled ‘Nirvana’.

Forever drawing influence from contrasting styles, genres and concepts, Guy J has become synonymous with creating innovative and out of the box productions such as ‘1000 Words’ which received an array of solid reviews from leading publications within the music industry. Adhering to exactly that fashion, Nirvana embraces his eclectic and much envied ability of being able to produce a varying catalogue of tracks of the highest stature.

Traversing through fluttering synth arrangements and atmospheric basslines, the opening production ‘8 Minute Flight’ is the superb beginning for what is set to be another profound chapter in the story of Guy J. A pivotal element of John Digweed’s Bedrock imprint, his forthcoming album is a showcase of all his favored diverse sounds compiled into a two CD’s of the highest caliber.

Never being content with constructing a linear style of productions, ‘Nirvana’s’ euphoric sounding riffs and elegantly composed percussion display Guy J’s versatility as an electronic artist, where as ‘Provokoter’s’ distorted rhythmic composition creates a darkened tone for all those listening. 

Carrying a wealth of experience on his shoulders, coupled with being supported by the underground music’s most profound names, ‘Nirvana’ is a sublime insight to the forthcoming album. Intricately weaving through each track creating an astonishing listening experience like no other, this EP will once again ignite excitement in the global music community that Guy J’s most ground breaking project to date is nearly upon us.

Partial Press Release: The 42nd release on microCastle welcomes Chicola and Sahar Z to the label for their debut EP. The Israeli duo have long been at the core of Tel Aviv's electronic music scene. Sahar Z is now approaching 20 years as one of the country's most recognized artists. Part owner and resident at Tel Aviv's famed 'The Cat & Dog' club, Sahar continually plays alongside some of the world's best talent such as Sasha, John Digweed, Dubfire, Mathew Jonson and Patrice Baumel. While his productions for Bedrock, Lost & Found, Suara and Sudbeat continue to make him one of the most unique and cutting edge artists in the underground. 

Similarly Chicola began his journey into electronic music in the mid-nineties, at Tel Aviv's renowned 'Allenby 58, DJing alongside Laurent Garnier, Carl Craig, Danny Tenaglia and countless other top international talents. Recent studio work for Lost & Found, Sudbeat Music and Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank Records, along with one hugely in demand and unreleased piece 'Childhood', has propelled Chicola into one of electronic music's most intriguing artists. 

The studio synergy between Chicola and Sahar is constant and while an abundance of material is locked away (primarily for live gigs), it's only on rare occasions that you see a collaborative release from the duo. Previous EP's for Guy J's Lost & Found Records and Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music are all that sits in the duos collective discography. Now as 2016 begins we see a long awaited third project, their debut EP for microCastle entitled 'It Happened One Night'. 

The EP's second selection 'The Stage' finds Chicola and Sahar crafting the ultimate techno jam. It's a journey that plays out over fourteen glorious minutes, anchored by a smooth, momentous groove, it effortlessly flows through a myriad of subtle motifs and cosmic effects. A continually evolving adventure with a techno state of mind, as described by Chicola and Sahar, "This one was a winter session that resulted in a soulful moment. A time when we turned off our minds and opened up our hearts. An analog moment for us, circular sounds with warm melodies.  It's our 909 meets 303 approach and an endless jam session for the future."

La referencia ERM086 esta vez viene a cargo del productor y DJ Wade, quien nos trae un corto de dos temas originales. De nombre ‘Specimen EP’, esta nueva entrega de elrow Music llega para cerrar el verano, siendo un trabajo oscuro, muy físico, con una clara estructura y enfocado a la pista de baile. El tema que da nombre al EP, 'Specimen (Original Mix)', es un trabajo que empieza lento, con percusión seca y festiva, un genial juego de claps, vocales y bleeps, con una intensidad y energía propias de cualquier cita de elrow, y con efectos geniales, que ensanchan la mezcla en cada subida. El segundo tema de este trabajo, 'Acidness (Original Mix)', es una bestia completamente diferente. Con el mismo tempo que su predecesora, los efectos y aire general del tema nos transportan a una atmosfera acida, minimalista y oscura, con percusión metálica y vocales de otra dimensión. Las líneas de sintetizador acidas son uno de los puntos fuertes de esta canción, con una estructura bien definida y que nos traslada a una ensoñación electrónica de otro mundo. En resumen, un trabajo oscuro, diferente, pero que sigue la trayectoria y narrativa que elrow Music está construyendo con sus releases  y que marca el principio del fin de esta temporada estival.

After a hiatus of 11 years it appears "Monkeyshop", aka Gothenburg electro kings Luke Eargoggle & Rutherford, are using the "Vivod" portal for their current works, this being their second ep for Ali Renault's imprint. Title track "Island of Love" is a melodious sprawling opus perfect for keeping the summer vibes going all year round and takes the whole of side A. Side B has two more cuts. "Heartbreak" is another disco pulser and the final track premiered here is "Island of Love" given a brilliant rework treatment from fellow Swede electroist "Obergman". Monkeyshop are back and they mean business ! Usual deal, limited to 300 copies with full screen print and Vivod sticker.
