Back to the fold with a new tribal-oriented floor crusher, 'Eclipse', label habituée SKALA engineers a compelling mix of deep rolling grooves and mystique-imbued atmosphere on her newest installment for Stil vor Talent. From behind a ripped curtain of alarm-like signals and cryptic vocal sampling emerges a battery of sizzling, seesawing synths and primitive drum motifs out some eerie forest, whereas the second part veers off into more experimental-leaning electronic territories, laying further emphasis on glitchy sound design minutiae and funky, FX-riddled stunts on an acid techno tip. Trusted to fellow Amaeo alum, Italian producer Ivan Masa, the track hatches into an even more cinematic piece of shape-shifting techno material, clinging to its tribal feel but fleshing out the synths' emotional weight to captivating effect. Channeling the original's manifold energies, Masa pushes 'Eclipse' in a new direction, exploring its poignant dimension in all its unadulterated glory. All in that starkly contrasted chiaroscuro between all-engulfing darkness and the healing force of light, SKALA's latest number is an ode to techno's dual power of evocation: absolute menace and snug intimacy rolled into one big, bold dance floor statement that shall have the four walls of the club quiver in excitement.

This remix compilation showcases some of electronic music’s most innovative names, including Jan Blomqvist, Joachim Pastor, Tim Engelhardt, Lauren Mia, Matchy, and Dirty Doering. Each artist brings their unique touch to Pretty Pink’s emotive originals, crafting bold and fresh reinterpretations.

SKALA and Xinobi unite, in a collaboration that has been a long time coming and is rooted in a long mutual admiration of each other's work. The first signs of SKALA’s affinity with DTX came when she co-headlined an ADE event with them earlier this year, as part of the label Amaeo which she co-founded with her partner Theologos.

Described by Xinobi as a track whose conception started with the simple suggestion of "we should do a track together", SKALA is in good company with Xinobi as on "Electrified" they prove to be a sonic foil for each other, as after just a few attempts what emerged was a track that combined much of their personalities and unmistakable hallmarks as "Electrified" gradually builds and then soars with euphoria, inviting reflection as well as dancefloor ready moments. For both artists it rounds out a prolific year, and is set to be released on Discotexas on January 17th, 2025.

TAU welcomes a powerhouse link up for our latest release. Italian duo Hunter/Game combine their creative energy with Øostil to form a supreme alliance. Both acts have long established themselves with the house and techno realm, bringing their unique flavours to a long line of releases and performances around the world. Their credentials are top tier and this new single demonstrates their prowess, with two alternate mixes including a spellbinding rework by Denis Horvat. Release epitomises the combined experience of these two talents, with crisp sound design throughout. An undulating bassline lures us into the mesmerising atmosphere, with hushed female vocals speaking in French and a repeated Release mantra. The tension builds steadily, as all the elements coalesce and complement each other, guiding us into a breakdown. After this point, the track continues in a similar vein, the low end maintaining its hypnotic grip as the seductive vocals drift in and out of the background. Denis Horvat steps up to remix Release, adding a harder edge, and more pump, to the energetic imprint. Horvats signature sound gives this its distinct vibe, utilising an array of unusual effects to send your brain into another dimension. The warped composition makes this a headtrip in itself. Denis considered approach creates moments where the energy plateaus a little, allowing the tension to build... Steel yourself for an extended breakdown, which explodes into a high-energy finale, where the push and pull culminates in a powerful climax. Finally, the Club Edit retains key elements from the original while taking things into slightly darker territory. Hunter/Game and Øostil offer a haunting reinterpretation of their track, with more impactful drum arrangement and higher energy all round. One for the 5am heads down crew...
