Platunoff - Another Evolution EP // Suffused Music [SMD056]

All the way from Chelyabinsk in Russia is where Suffused Music bring their latest signing to the label, as the rising starlet Platunoff brings on 2 brand new originals to the label. With his creative and melodic style, he is to take you on a memorable journey through epic sound structures.

The title track "Another Evolution" is a groovy ride, where he uses some fine vocal additions to spice the grooves up. Beautiful melodic arrangements is running in and out of the track to build a great atmosphere.

On remix duty for this production, you will be faced with new creative work from the likes of Swiss starlet Bruno Kaufmann aka F-Act as well as Barcelona bound Toni González, more known through his Experimental Feelings moniker. They both bring on amazing textures that ends as a great variety to the original ideas, they simply build their own interpretations and the result is stunning on both of them.

The 2nd original from Platunoff, called "Mystic Girl" is another truly great progressive story that open up with a vocal message to all of you. Super smooth textures are built up, through sweet percussion, synth riff and throbbing kicks to give it a great groove and mystic feel. From there on, you are on a true progressive journey.

On the remixes for this track, you are to get some amazing skills from the clever minds Neftali Blasko from Mexico as well as UK's very own Shaun Bowden who both take this track to different places. Well structured grooves and and a driving feel is significant for both these reworks and we do feel it is a great compliment to the original idea that they have rebuilt to something of their very own, quality music! - Freddie (PHW)

From an early age, the now highly rated international DJ Eric Sneo, started learning to play many instruments, including drums, piano and accordion. As a result, he grew up with an intense love for music and in 1998 became a resident DJ at one of the most famous techno clubs in Germany - The Palazzo. As his career progressed successfully, in 2002 he also started his own party series – “Tanz Der Familie”.

Around this same time period (together with Udo Niebergall) Eric founded the Masters Of Disaster and Beatdisaster record labels. These featured influential releases from artists, such as - Gayle San, The Advent, Chris Liebing, Hertz, Rush, etc - and were also a platform for Eric’s own releases. In 2003 the worldwide club hit “Ciao Bella” and the German chart hit “Tube Tech - The End” were released to massive acclaim.

With his unique performances on the E-drums during his DJ sets, Eric swiftly developed into a distinctive and highly sought after international player. After he presented his unique “Art of Life” show at the Nature One Festival (2009) for the first time, he gained rave reviews throughout an exclusive festival tour of the show in the summer 2010 and 2011. By incorporating the playing of live instruments into his DJ sets, he is an unforgettable performer. Eric can combine his trademark groovy technoid DJ style with his live performance of a range of acoustic and electronic instruments, including E-Drums, E-accordion, percussion & didgeridoo.

In 2011 he launched his new Mudra Audio label, where he released his critically acclaimed album “Polarity” in March 2012. Supported by international artists like Laurent Garnier, Len Faki, Dubfire, Christian Varela, Marco Bailey, Luciano, Gabriel Ananda and Cari Lekebusch, the album was highly successful, so much so much so, that Umek signed the album track “Shut Up & Dance” as a single for his 1605 label, which was released in August 2012.

Over the past two years, Eric has continued to increase his profile as an international artist, with and amazing flow of releases on some of the world’s most exciting techno labels, such as – 1605, Tronic, MB Elektronics, Phobiq, Agile, Evolution and Transmit. Rarely does a week go by without an Eric Sneo release appearing in the Beatport Techno Top 100. 

With his successful “Move On” EP, he became a member of Christian Smith’s respected, forward-thinking Tronic family, a move that has now led to him unveiling his masterful, new “Intensity” album project for the label. Set for release in for the summer of 2014, this is Eric’s 5th album of his career and is a complete lesson in the creation of exhilarating techno that will set any dance-floor on fire, showing that the future of exciting techno music is in safe hands.

Andrez - In Your Afterglow EP // Suffused Music [SMD058]&#13;

Continuing their assault on the underground progressive house scene, with over half a century of high calibre releases, Suffused Music now turns to Bulgarian, Andrez, as he basks “In Your Afterglow” with four impressive remixes.&#13;
&#13;
Born in the Sofia capital, an accomplished pianist and student of The State Academy of Music, began to establish himself as a dominant force in the city’s dance scene with appearances that would lead to inclusion to the InSound Promotions DJ agency. Production work quickly followed and almost 250 credits sitting proudly next to the Andrez name for such luminary imprints as Kansak, Enhanced and Balkan Connection South America. A deep bass vibe at its heart, the original mix pushes relentlessly forward with dynamic percussion arrangement and hypnotic, pulsating beat. Rise and falling with consummate ease, the track delivers with brooding intensity.&#13;
&#13;
Former drum and bass star from the Greek capital, Athens based producer, Advent's Rising turned “360 degrees” to find a home within the progressive scene. A decade of experience on the DJ circuit within his homeland laid the foundations for a raft of releases since 2011’s debut on No Border Recordings. Over 20 production credits already for Suffused Music now sees Advent’s Rising take on Andrez with a slick reworking that combines the deep vibe of the original with additional urgency in the shape of subtle melodic variation that brings a new level of intrigue to “In Your Afterglow”.&#13;
&#13;
Formerly half of the iconic pairing of Alex and Filip that dominated the underground scene with remixes of Dave Seaman, Trafik and Kassey Voorn, Alex Nemec needs little introduction to the musical cognoscenti. His work supported by the leading lights from Marco Bailey and John Digweed to Tiësto and Mark Knight, the head of the successful Mirabilis records now teams up with UK producer, Nik Feral. From his home in Manchester, Feral’s growing reputation was quickly cemented after signing to UMEK’s 1605 - MUSIC THERAPY imprint in 2011 and supported by the likes of Pig&Dan and Laurent Garnier. Thus, a plethora of credits can be found under the Mancunian’s name with a quarter of century alongside Nemec. Reworking Andrez, the duo’s remix of “In Your Afterglow”, reveals a dark hypnotic rhythm that lurks menacingly with strong house beat and cavernous bass, resonant of the original. A cleverly worked riff plays on the omnipresent darkness creating a techno driven monster.&#13;
&#13;
After years spent studying the techniques and inspired by the sounds of Sasha and Digweed, Dutch producer, Jaap Ligthart, saw a passion for electronic music translated into appearances on Dutch national radio and support for his work from some of the industry’s finest names. Dave Seaman, Hernan Cattaneo and Jody Wisternoff have all featured DJ Jaap Ligthart’s work in their sets for labels such as Black Hole Recordings and Manual Music. Taking driving rhythms as a starting point that propel his work forward, Ligthart’s remix of Andrez fills “In Your Afterglow” with a clever interpretation of the melodic themes present in the original mix to create a throbbing, filtered version to keep club floors full.&#13;
&#13;
Final offering comes from Australian born producer, Matter. A student of the dance floors of Melbourne and London, time spent in his studio crafting “deep synth lines, driving bass and pulsating rhythms”, has been rewarded with recognition from such imprints as Stellar Fountain Records and Balkan Connection. Making his debut on Suffused Music, a deliciously bouncing bass line provides the foundation for intricate and immaculately programmed percussive rhythms to create a tightly locked groove. Echoes of the motif so prominent in the original are then treated to extra sheen as glitch and stutter provide added dimension to create an impressive rework of Andrez.&#13;

SMD058 Andrez - In Your Afterglow EP [Suffused Music]

It’s time to bounce back a bit in history as we are taking back some of the originals we’ve had in the past on our roster, and spice them up a bit as we spark new life into them, with a new solid rework of the original ideas. This time we have some fine work delivered originally from Toby Hedges, Talamanca, Jocey & Aureluna as well as a double from French supremo James Woods. 

All 5 of the tracks are some of the tracks we had a great feel for from our back catalogue, and would like to highlight a bit more, but this time from fresh rising talent on the progressive scene that delivers new fresh vibes for us and all of the community.

First out on this journey is a welcome return to us from Norwegian artist Ethillas who took on the challenge to rework our first Toby Hedges signing on the label, “Paper Aeroplanes”. Ethillas delivers a sparkling progressive production here, filled with tasty melodic arrangements, superb harmonies and an overall lovely relaxing feel, as it at the same time has that energetic feel. You got to love music like this! 

Next up is our first James Woods delivery today, as we had the honor to welcome back the great talent of Maliauka to our roster, as he delivers a brand new remix of the PHW classic from James Woods, called “Skydiving”. With warm and deep textures, he definitely delivers some fresh drive into Mr. Woods original ideas. We really enjoy what have happened here and feel we have something rare in the pipeline to all of you.

Next out is one that we believe a lot of you will remember as we bring back Talamanca and his fantastic production “Talamanca Beach”, originally released with us back in April 2013. This time another rising talent from Holland delivers the rework as we are super pleased to welcome Poll Morris to our roster with his magnificent spiced up version of one of PHW’s most beloved originals. It’s just another great and melodic production to go with PHW, and we truly love what we hear.

Next is a collaboration between Jocey & Aureluna that returns in new shape on the label, here with another classy rework from Finlands fastest rising talent on the progressive scene, Markus Hakala. For this remix from Markus, you will have some rewritten melodic lines that definitely brings new sparks on this beauty.  We are absolutely in love with this beast when it came originally and Markus definitely bring that lovin’ feel back to us.

Last out on this new adventure from us is another original from the past delivered from French ace James Woods, this time the lovely production from him, as he baptized as “Book Of Dreams”. This time we welcome back the Russian promising and rising talent Artsever to our label as he pulls the trigger for us and deliver another superb production to the scene.

All in all we are as proud as ever to have all these amazing talents around us at PHW, and we couldn’t have asked for more. We do hope you all will love and enjoy this fine package of fresh vibes. Watch out for more like this in the future!

Talamanca - Talamanca Beach (Poll Morris Remix)

Time for another returning artist this week as we have the pleasure to have Greek producer Angelo-K back with us. He has been on remix duty for us on PHW Elements not to long ago, with some amazing sounds on his agenda and he delivers another superb track to us as his “Somewhere In Time” is our highlight of the week on PHW Elements.

With a great ear for building melodies, he once again makes a great delivery for us as he brings on this beauty to all of you following us. Be ready for a melodic production than we have had on our past releases, as he is delivering an amazing track, filled with big melodic pads, great guitar play and a layer after layer production, just too good to resist. We have been in love with this track since day one and still are!

You will also get an “Orchestral Tool” included from Angelo-K, for those of you wanting to get a more relaxed and calm way to listen to this fantastic production.

On remix duty, we have 3 amazing producers all making debuts on our PHW Elements imprint, and we feel truly inspired by all of them and the work they have delivered to complete this release.

First out is one that have delivered some amazing material on pretty much all the major labels out there, and it’s as said just a joy to be able to have the undoubtedly super talent Anton MAKe on our roster as he delivers a more deep re-take of Angelo-K’s original ideas and we feel as happy as ever to have him and this rework on our roster. With deeper kicks and more crisp percussion he puts more drive on to this progressive journey. 

2nd out on remix duty is one of the friendliest producers out there on the scene, as we have the total joy of having US bound producer Will McGlone with us. Will who is someone who has a production style we have been hooked on since discovering his true talent not to long again delivers a warm interpretation. It’s built through deep basslines, crisp percussion and and a layer after layer melodic journey is taking place as he starts to build this track up for us. We believe there is a few of you out there that, as we have, will fall for this superb version, super stuff coming up fellas!

Last out and quite a new name on the scene, we proudly present the young up and coming producer from Lithuania, Frosun on our roster. As he caught our attention with a stunning 4 track EP through Weepee’s White2Black label some months ago, we decided to check if he was available to give his thoughts and ideas for this rack, and we feel he has done amazing with it. He is keeping some of the original ideas, but definitely builds his ideas with some great arpeggio lines included among the melodic feel he’s built here. It’s great to see new talent on the scene, and Frosun is one that we hope to see a lot more of in the future!

Blugazer's "Ethereal Concepts," one of our favorites from this year's "Silk Royal Showcase 04" compilation, finally receives a full single release on our parent label, including powerfully emotive interpretations by Shingo Nakamura and Piramex. Based in NYC, Blugazer has generated strong buzz in the international trance & progressive community over the last few years, on account of his intricate, visionary productions. His original version is centered on a gentle groove, while a variety of relaxing and lush melodies are equally entrancing. The instrumental themes are quite memorable, yet the most breathtaking effects are provided by an unnamed female vocalist, whose ethereal voice offers a deep catharsis to the listener.

Veteran star Shingo Nakamura, fresh off a wonderful collaboration with Jody Wisternoff and James Grant on the recent "Anjunadeep 06" release, offers a deliciously deep take in the spirit of the original version. Soothing pads and a buoyant rhythm provide the listener with a floating-on-air sensation, while Shingo's signature chords offer uplifting melodic vibes. In the main break, Shingo's gorgeous piano lines, which beautifully coalesce with the vocal stabs, are a welcome addition to the soundscape.

Rising Russian talent Piramex, who recently won our "Both" remix contest, provides a peak-hour rendering, fueled by a ferocious bassline. As the song crescendoes toward the climax, vocal effects and pad layers are added, creating an aura of suspense. In the main break, a reworked vocal sequence soars above an anthemic bassline progression, while a variety of side melodies fill out the soundscape. The thunderous drop to follow is awe-inspiring.

Blugazer - Ethereal Concepts (Original Mix) [Silk Digital]

It is time for some serious attention now, as we unleash the next installment on PHW Elements, and we for sure feel we have something exceptional coming up this week, that we are so proud to have gotten together for our followers. We have the pleasure to have the Teneriffe bound producer Julian Marazuela making his debut on the label, as he brings on his fabulous production “Chinyero” on our PHW Elements roster. With his music being seen through massive labels such as Baroque, Balkan Connection, Clinique, Suffused Music and a good load more. Of course we are happy to involve Julian together with us on PHW Elements as well with this great production. 

On remix duty we have a superb line-up for you, including great reworks from talented acts such as Cut Knob, Exoplanet and Polish wonder Kacper Kostecki. 

Julian Marazuela hit off with a majestic original, filled with all the right grooves and deep structures that he is so known for. Vocal additions are used to give this deep production its warm and atmospheric feel. Just listen through it, and you will understand what we mean.

The collaboration duo behind the well known and always intelligent alias of Cut Knob hits off with their masterpiece. With fat rolling sound structures and deep grooves, they build an interpretation packed with energy and style, just as they always do, we couldn’t be happier.
The young and talented Dutch super producer Exoplanet debut with a fantastic psy-trance interpretation together with us on PHW Elements. With his creative and innovate musical thinking, he find ways that no one else do, and the result for us, is above stunning. With a 132 bpm quick journey created here, he for sure delivers something extraordinary to all you people out there. It’s energetic, forward thinking, creative and everything inbetween, we absolutely love it! 

The 3rd and final rework comes as said from the Polish wonder Kacper Kostecki, a producer we have followed through labels such as Particles, newly found Time Capsule (the label from East Cafe) as well as Clinique and Dopamine. He delivers another massive production today, as he brings on a more techno-ish touch to the original ideas from Julian. With his innovative and quirky style, he once more showcase what a talented mind he is. If you need a floorfiller, you are to get it through Kacpers great retake, as he delivers a total knockout for the floors.

All in all we are super excited to unleash this monster of a release, and we do think you are to get your version in this package, thanks to all guys involved in the release, a proud moment is here!
