Presenting their second release of the year, Antrim’s Or Two Strangers welcomes Sebastian Sellares back to the label for a new EP. The Cordoba resident has been one of the imprints core artists since first appearing in 2019, with five original productions released over the course of a prolific sixteen month stretch. UK behemoth Anjunadeep, Cid Inc’s Replug Records, GMJ and Matter's Meanwhile and US powerhouse Proton Music have also served as landing spots for the Argentine's mesmerizing productions, while progressive music tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren continue to champion his sound. With the year being highlighted by the recently released Replug vehicle ‘Sky Above’, a joint EP project produced alongside fellow countryman Ezequiel Arias, Sebastian now returns to Or Two Strangers with a three track showcase entitled ‘Blizzard’.

EP opener and title selection ‘Blizzard’ finds Sebastian operating at the peak of his creative powers. Fuelled by tough driving beats and layers of hypnotic percussion; it’s Sebastian’s stirring melodies which ultimately shape the piece into a memorable dance floor slam. Colourful cascades emerge leading into the main break, sitting in an emotional headspace and bringing with them trails of balmy atmospherics and effervescent effects, before eventually breaking off into a drop of rebounding rhythms and heartwarming chord changes.

Selection two ‘Elements of Nature’ lands with an equally impressive display of craftsmanship. Sebastian re-affirms his ability to tip a late-night dance floor over the edge, with wobbly grooves and hip-swinging percussion laying the foundation for misty atmospheres and smoky instrumentation. Sitting comfortably in an ethereal yet thought provoking space, thumping beats rise out of a soulful strum-led break into an ever-evolving, free form finale.

The EP’s final selection ‘Hypnotica’ finds Sebastian continuing to diversify his portfolio with a whimsical creation that’s nicely dialled for the sunrise hours. Deeper in design and highly stylized in delivery, its beautifully contoured, funk-fuelled groove sets the course for incandescent melodies and otherworldly harmonics to create a panoramic musical skyline. Often celebrated for his ability to create emotional themes, Sebastian has ventured further with the ‘Blizzard’ collection, into a time of true innovation, traversing a multitude of realms and dimensions within the progressive spectrum, while excelling throughout.

Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint opens the month of October with a new EP from DJ Choopie and Golan Zocher. The former, based in Israel lays claim to over two decades of production work and releases via long standing imprints such as Bedrock and Yoshitoshi. Meanwhile, Colombian born, Israel based artist Golan Zocher has enjoyed similar success across his five-year career, landing releases via Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, Beatfreak and Clubsonica Records. Having been occasional studio partners for some time, Choopie and Golan have collaborated on projects for Mango Alley, Sol Selectas and Choopie's Agnosia Black imprint. Also calling Sound Avenue affiliate 3rd Avenue home, the duo now steps up to Sound Avenue for a three track showcase entitled 'Amirim'.

In time, a new beginning creates a snapshot of autumnal colour. Gentle mist rolls across canals that interweave through a vibrant city. An hourglass slowly sifts its grains of sand as a plethora of sights and sounds are generated in synchronicity over days that wait for night to fall. The bustling Leidseplein is filled with chatter by day, while dislocated melodic patterns drift across Rembrantplein as twilight turns to night. Nothing is off limit at the stylish and atmospheric ClubNL and the aural rush created by the Sugar Factory then leads east to tempting rhythms found across the Panama canal.

We are truly delighted to see this warm and uplifting release taking its spot on our release schedule this week, as we think we have a fantastic release right in front of you. For those of you following the scene for a while know all about eh amazing talent from Florida, Brady Phillips and his superb alias of Kono. Over the years he’s been making creative and melodic productions that got him support from some of the globetrotting DJ’s having the world as their workplace. We of course feel great satisfaction to see him join us on original here on the label, with a smooth melodic progressive production screaming and steaming summer and white sandy beaches all over it. 

To top things up, we see a huge lineup of talented names digging in on remix duty, with 2 brand new names joining the ever expanding PHW family and we are thankful to see them join us with their quality and forward thinking strategies. 

First up is a brand new alias from Norway, as we see the newly established name of Visionate join us and the scene for the first time. We do feel this is a name to remember, as there are plenty more coming your way from them in the coming months. Though we need to get the journey started for them, and we do that today, with a absolutely gorgeous re-take of Bradys original. With a slightly more rounded feel, more punch and added on textures, they most definitely is to capture your ears and senses about what is to come. An absolutely stunning opener from them, and we hope there is a lot of you out there taking this name under your wings, they are true talents of the game. 

Next up is another debut on PHW, but a familiar name on the scene, as the Los Angeles bound producer Nikhil Prakash, known from Lange Recordings, Freegrant Music, Alter Ego, Infrasonic and InfraProgressive to mention some joins in on the label with a stunning re-take for us. He truly dig in and builds a more progressive trance inspired production, packed with massive  elements to build a total knockout for the floors. He is really showing his A-game here, just as we expected when we invited him. It is a great blend of chord progressions, driving elements and smooth melodic arrangements, all nicely packed down to this piece of magic.

Returning artist, Raphael Mayers returns to PHW once again, known since a few months back having his latest production getting supported by legend Ferry Corsten for a couple of weeks through Corstens Countdown as well as support from Roger Shah and many more, he now returns to us with an epic interpretation, built with his always soothing and energetic style of progressive. It is a super melodic production, just truly oozing summer, sunny beaches and the sand in the toes feel.We definitely think we have a super package here, filled with music in different progressive styles, bringing on something to everyone!

We are as thrilled as ever to bring on one of the names that been a true inspiration to us while running our labels over the years, as we this week see the debut from one of the most sought artists out there, the melody man from Russia, Gregory Esayan. Being a solid feature on the progressive scene for the past years, he this time teams up with the Poland based vocalist known as Angel Falls. 

This original, created from one of the guys that we on the label been dying to do the work with, is fair to say being another enormous number from him, bringing on his full artillery of melodic arrangements, clever uplifting layers of progressions and then on top of that, some truly warm and emotional vocal additions from one of the hardest working female vocalists out there. It’s so captivating and we are certain you don’t want to miss out on it. 

To top things up, we have invited one producer, that is to become a close friend to us lately, and one that been on our radar for a long time. We of course talk about the intelligent producer based in Los Angeles, Nikhil Prakash who returns once again to us, with another epic production. With his recent remix on Kono - The Simple Things, heading all the way to getting a spin from the legendary trio of Above & Beyond through their Group Therapy show, he once again proves why he is seen as one of the coming men on the scene. Picking the pace up, building a more club oriented and driving interpretation, he delivers in flare with his energetic and powerful style. This is a dancefloor stomper created, that will fill any decent club floor across the floor. As that would be the end? No we are not there really yet, as there is a “Dub Mix” from Nikhil as well, for those who seek the more melodic style that he creates. For those of you, that sought the original as a "Dub Mix", make sure to be ready, it will be out soon as well on the label, in a bit different way. Just stay tuned with us!
