An experiment in guitar tone turned into a cover of Lamb of God's sludgy intro track Straight For The Sun.

Maybe I just need an Axe FX. 

This was using a Line6 POD HD and a cheap (but awesome) Ibanez Gio 6-string baritone. The bass is a big part of the tone. I used a cheap (but awesome) Ibanez Soundgear direct-in with no amp modeling and a heavily distorted, mid-heavy parallel channel.

Tuning is G#FA#D#GC ... not sure if that's the exact tuning he used, but it's probably close since it was really easy to play this. Definitely an interesting one.

This is the first demo release off of my first full album project. Influenced by doom metal giants like Sabbath, Sleep, and Electric Wizard. Haunting melodies in place of vocals give it the feeling of a horror film score.
