Aleja is a DJ, producer, and label owner of Northallsen Records who is originally from Bogota, Colombia. Known for her deep hypnotic sound, she always strives to create a unique dialogue between experimental electronics and nature soundscapes, carefully and skilfully organized both behind the decks and in the studio. For over a decade, Aleja has already shown that she had a beautiful development and aspires to leave an even bigger impact while sharing a piece of herself with the world.

With this one hour mix, Aleja takes you on a journey which makes you feel as if you are in a forest at night during a storm. The amazing control, layering and build up are heard throughout the whole set. It is clearly audible that Aleja takes her inspiration from biology, her academic knowledge and from nature. For our 166th podcast, we are happy to present Blank Code founders and label artists Project 313.  Project 313 is the creative collaboration of Detroit based techno producers, Chad Parraghi and Nick Bien.  This recording was taken from thier 2014 performance at the Movement Electronic Music Festival in Detroit on the Underground stage Saturday, May 24th, 2014.  The Detroit duo is set to play an opening mix for label mate DJ Hyperactive on Saturday 26th of July at SCENE 23.

Came across Blazej a while back on Bandcamp and really enjoyed the tracks of his that i found. Lots of warmth and colour, adds a good layer of music with a slightly dubby edge. Lots of space but lots of energy too. His boiler room set was very good too and Im very happy he agreed to do a podcast for the series. A very good one too.

Warm techno with plenty of energy and a dark edge.

We're back with episode 24! Recorded in early April 2020, this episode welcomes DJ and producer Luke Slater. 

@Luke-Slater has been DJing since the late 1980s, and by the 90s, his many aliases had become household names thanks to important releases on labels like Peacefrog, and Nova Mute. By 2009, Luke had joined Ostgut Ton, continuing to tour relentlessly and produce music with seemingly boundless energy — a quality with which he continues to approach his work today. His stamina is endless, and in order to keep up with the continuing love and demand for his music, it has to be. In this episode, our discussion focuses on longevity as a DJ, his mix for Ostgut's 15th anniversary, and the drive that keeps him going.

Project 313 is the creative collaboration of Detroit based techno producers, Chad Parraghi and Nick Bien. They each made their DJ debut in the 1990’s, and have been performing at underground events, nightclubs and festivals across North America and Europe ever since. During their performances you can expect to hear post-apocalyptic hypnotic sounds that result in an unique aural experience.

In 2007 Chad & Nick the created the full service techno outlet Blank Code. Since then, Blank Code events have been a regular fixture to the Detroit techno community hosting events including: the “Substance Detroit” event series (a Movement Official after hours collaboration with Function of Sandwell District), the “Friendly Integration” event series (a collaboration with the record label Detroit Underground) and the most recent “Scene” event series which has hosted artists such as Luke Slater, DVS1, Silent Servant, Truncate, Rrose, Tommy Four Seven, Brian Sanhaji, Jay Denham, Drumcell and many more. 

In early 2012, Blank Code launched their record label and have consistently released high quality records including originals and remixes by artists such as Drumcell, Audio Injection, Luis Flores, Alberto Pascual, and Bas Mooy to name a few. Project 313 has released their music on Blank Code records and D-Records both based in Detroit. Their Mutate ‘Circle 2′ remix has been supported by artists such as Speedy J, Chris Liebing, Exium, and Brendon Moeller to name a few. Their most recent release on Blank Code came out under the imprint Bodies in Pawn - "Null" compilation with original mixes by Audio Injection, Luis Flores, Mutate and Joel Morgan.
