We Are The Brave front man Alan Fitzpatrick provides the labels next release with a typically incendiary two-tracker. Delving deep into his record collection for inspiration, the result is a brace of distinct, ear-catching cuts that tip a hat to by-gone times in rave culture and have returned big reactions from contemporary crowds all summer. 

The aptly titled “They All Called ‘Em Garys” combines droning hardcore hoovers and power piano with Fitzpatrick’s trademark heavy tech funk. While “Rhino” adopts a slung-back groove of resounding bass and tense pads overlaid with a knockout melody that bubbles away before unleashing its full chord progression through an unashamedly epic breakdown.

Long-term house and techno heavyweight, Kevin M. Kennedy aka FBK has a career spanning three decades. Debuting with a seminal release on Frictional in ’97, Kennedy went on to appear on labels like diametric. and Urban Kickz, whilst more recent releases have landed on Barba Records, Suspected (alongside Paul Mac) and Rekids - kick-starting the label’s Special Projects series. With a close bond to Detroit greats like Anthony ‘Shake’ Shakir, Daniel Bell, Claude Young, Keith Tucker and Sherard Ingram (DJ Stingray), FBK is considered a true contemporary. Returning to Rekids for his inaugural longplayer, ‘More Stories From The Future’ demonstrates his versatility within the studio and mirrors his genre-bending approach to performing, both as a DJ and live act.

‘Modular Life’ brings deep resonating lows, liquid pads and clinical percussion, before the psychedelic vocals of ‘I’ll Sit Back, You’ll Jack’ join smashing snares and intensifying synths. Exhibiting erratic sound design, ‘Layers of Fear’ comes complete with pumping drums and intense hi-hats, until ‘Hassling’ offers a stepping groove, thick pad stabs and deep sub movement.

‘Headless’ gets modular heavy with bubbling effects and shuffling rhythm, preceding the driving kicks of ‘Gate Closing’ where ghostly vocals meet enveloping acid growls. ‘The Boxing Lesson’ delivers punchy kicks and steppy snares under lofty atmospherics, ending on ‘The Finisher’s Heart’ where evolving detuned synths flow over powerful percussion.

Cybernetic enhancements and genetic upgrades have led to an entirely new being… connected to the original yet completely standalone in its own right, leading us to not call it a remix at all… but an auditory “sequel”, if you will.

Meticulously (and we mean that, as this final version is actually the 63rd master) crafting the original vibe using old and new tools spread over 3 different machines and 2 DAWs, we bring you Drop Two, to experience this vibe today, 12 years after the original Drop was created.

Trance Wax, aka Ejeca, returns to Anjunabeats with a rework of OceanLab’s 2003 anthem, ‘Satellite’.

This is Trance Wax’s second OceanLab edit: ‘Clear Blue Water’, released in April, was described by Resident Advisor as "ethereal and addictive” and attracted support from big room heavyweights and cratediggers alike. This is the second official label release for Ejeca’s throwback edits project, the bulk of his work exists only on white label vinyl.

His latest reboot unashamedly embraces the euphoric tenor of yesteryear while a dusty broken beat takes aim modern dancefloors.
