Project:Tryptamine
 
The musical spawn of DJs Matt Kitshon and Skerik has birthed an innovation leading the way for Australian EDM. Uniting the skills of improvisation, jazz techniques and music education with electronica, Project:Tryptamine is an adventure that takes ajourney of improvised live remixing using a capellas, loops and samples into the mind bending worlds of tech, deep house and progressive techno. This unique mix is further blended with psy elements, fused with tribal meters and subdivisions and enhanced in a thrilling package of projected visuals. It’s a perfect mix of contrasts that unites in the ultimate partnership where Agent Provocateur meets refined composition. Together Skerik and Matt Kitshon jump behind substantial equipment including Abelton, Serato 3D Projection Mapping software, working outside of the music and rhythms for a manipulation of visually structured musical chaos.
 
Matt Kisthon brings a musical direction to the project with a deep, edgy extremity. With an underground pedigree steeped in two decades of history, Matt’s experience lie in rhythms and timings that are dark and prophetic. Skerik takes Matt’s direction and makes it compelling through the power of APC40 loops and CDJ a capellas. As a multi-instrumentalist with a classically-trained Conservatorium background particularly on drums and various instruments, Skerik takes the rules of music structure and philosophies and flouts them, on the spot, beguiling the melodies, textures and rhythms into the live signature sounds of Project:Tryptamine.

From his humble beginnings in a small country town, to the big city lights of this nation, Harvey has captured the clubbing world with his trademark style and energetic sets. With 30+ years in the scene, Harvey has climbed his way up the ladder into the elite league of Australia’s best.
Very popular amongst his peers, Harvey is considered one of the best support DJ’s in the country as he continues to play alongside some of the biggest international and national DJ’s in the world today. Whenever asked, he modestly would just say he was one of the quiet achievers of the Australian dance scene.
With his unique house sound Harvey has been resident at some of Queensland’s biggest clubs, as well as playing guest spots at several of Australia’s best venues, where he also continued to support renowned global Artists.       
In addition Harvey created his own successful nights, “Envy”, “Back 2 Luv” and “Sessions”, where he has successfully had the biggest house nights on the humble Sunshine Coast with crowds of over 800 returning week after week.
On the DJ front he unquestionably maintains his status week after week through his electrifying and uplifting sets that incorporate a diverse mix of genres.
