I'm an old cat with my roots from New Orleans that enjoys songwriting, composing, recording and performing my original and mostly acoustic songs. I am a self-taught musician from a musical family background.  I have lived in several countries overseas (6) and have traveled extensively for the past 20 years. In that time I have played in several bands in many countries, with musicians from around the world and have had the pleasure to learn from and experience so many talented people, musicians and exotic cultures, that as a songwriter, one cannot help but bring that into verse with instrumental expression through having the world as my playground in music. So my music is therefor uniquely written and felt with bit of country jazz funk boogie and often Floyd. But now I am a songwriter living out my retirement and enjoying composing my music 
 
As a singer, I sang in a vocal trio with Big Bands in the eighties with my Bro and even got to perform with the legendary "Tommy Dorsey Band" and once perform on the mall in Washington DC and at a private session in the halls of Congress.   Thanks Leif
 
My greatest achievement however, was forming and playing in a band in Kuwait called "The Human Shields" starting just around  the time of the Iraq invasion in 2003. We played gigs around the country from 2003 to 2006, but the cool ... was we had the privilege of entertaining the soldiers by playing at several of the military bases around the country..  In 2006 I moved to Indonesia where I was in another band called "The Tiger Kings" and we opened for several of the top name acts in Indonesia.
 
I moved back to Houston with my home recording studio, where I record my own songs basically doing all the writing, playing, singing and producing on my own, with the exception of if I need a really screaming lead guitar track, then I collaborate with my buddies from one of my previous bands to send me a lead track to add to the master.

All of my originals recorded as basic demos that i hope to interest other artists to record themselves and in their own styles and arrangements.

Hi I'm Briana! First off, I want to thank you for visiting my page, or checking out my music, or liking, or subscribing, or sharing, or actually taking time to sit down and read this whole thing. I really, truly appreciate it. So about me... I'm 24 years old. I was born on June 1, 1994 in Norristown, a suburb outside Philadelphia, PA. I love love (total self-proclaimed hopeless romantic). You know, Nicholas sparks books, the movie 'Titanic', etc. Yes, I am short, and yes, I do love it! I also love getting dressed up- I'd live in high heels, jewelry, and an evening gown if I could. I love to laugh and get along really well with people who have a sense of humor. I love Taylor Swift. Not only is she my favorite musical artist, but I credit her with inspiring me to pick up a guitar after hugging me and musically blowing my mind at my first ever concert. I also love Vanessa Carlton for writing "A Thousand Miles" because that song made me want to play the piano. I hope I get to meet and thank both of them someday. My dream is to do exactly what they do -- make my own records and tour. 

Music is definitely my game (and sports are not). I'm absolutely in love with it. I've been playing the piano for the past 17 years, taught myself acoustic guitar when I was 16, played cello for 8 years in the past, and I am starting to teach myself how to play the ukulele, and am getting into re-learning the violin (took lessons for a year in the past). I also want to learn how to play the banjo, mandolin, and dobro, so we'll see what happens there. As far as my videos go, I am my own photographer, videographer, and editor. While I don't love anything more than the music, the entire process is pretty fun (I would love to be able to hire a camera crew though!). Avalon, NJ is still my favorite vacation spot. I'm an extremely picky eater and pretty much edit anything I order (ask anyone at Panera). Personally I don't think there's any chocolate like the kind they put in Advent calendars. I sometimes prefer to make my smilies like this (: instead of like this :) just because it's different. I'm creative and always have a mini project going on like crystallizing my car, which I've parlayed into my own bling business.

Oh yeah, and my capo is pink.

Open Your Mind (@onyrmd) is the new project of producer Leo Mendes, also editor and A&R of the label, blog and podcast Emusic4All. In the last decade, the producer has had artistic projects from different genres of e-music, with dozens of releases on record labels around the world, in addition to 4All and sub-labels.

In his new phase, the tracks and sets have all the influences of previous projects and more than two decades dedicated to music, where the idea is precisely to 'mix' all these references from the past, going from house to trance with hints of acid, progressive and more.

Beyond to address contemporary themes with provocative content and to cause reflection, the producer invites everyone to also open their minds to this diversity of influences and musical genres mixed in an electronic music salad, drinking from any other influences without any prejudice and resulting in a unique, avant-garde and conceptual sound.
