when I heard the original track I couldn't help but laugh and dance around. as amazing as the vocal content is, it also has this extremely infectious hook that grabbed me alongside a dark piano melody that fit the mood perfectly.

this remix has been in the works for a while now, and over the weekend I managed to make a drop hard enough to keep up with the original. this is for the middle of a set where the energy can be taken to another level or the last song you play before getting out of the car and walk into a venue for a show.

‘Night Moth’ is the final stage and lead track of a 3-part series that started with tracks ‘Caterpillar’ and ‘Chrysalis’. “Night Moth is the peak of the metamorphosis and really represents the transformation we have gone through as a band over the last year. The song began as an improvisational idea in Madison, WI while on tour. Over time the song took form to what the studio version is today, changing shape and structure many times. This idea was really what spawned the rest of the upcoming album.” Says Kevin Donohue.

Having spent their formative years unleashing tunes like "Feel Good" in 2011 and their debut album Evolution Theory in 2013, Modestep have been an active voice in the dubstep community and seen its trends come and go. They've remained a staple in the scene and have recently graced the stages of festivals like Lost Lands and Rampage, constantly pushing their sound to new boundaries as time goes on.

Escape essentially depicts the feeling of being trapped somewhere unfamiliar and desperately try to break free and eventually escape. This is where Rise, the next track from the series, takes off and closes the story.
