Robots in the Sun is the latest project by Greg Beaton, multi-instrumentalist from Niagara Falls NY, heavily influenced by progressive rock, 80's pop & fusion. After spending high school years on bass and keyboards in the Rush tribute band Afterimage, he started progressive band Pleiades with Bob Piper in 1993. In 1998, Greg moved to Los Angeles, where he became involved in both entertainment and music, working for ad agencies and film studios between various composing projects & touring gigs with bands like The Motels and Circus of Shadows, all the while expanding his appreciation of pop, folk & electronic music. In 2017, inspired by a connection made with long-time favorite musician and artistic inspiration, Allan Holdsworth, Greg began to finish and release music under the name Robots in the Sun, with authenticity taking priority over genre or style. Greg currently plays bass in Los Angeles desert psych outfit Corredor.
