Sloths look like cute clowns - this is mainly due to their figure: the 
small head, tiny eyes and ears, and stubby tail contrast greatly with 
the strong arms and legs and the long fur. It consists of a fine 
undercoat, over which a mane of strands falls. The sloth 
wears its crown quite unusually on its belly, which fits perfectly with 
its dorsal position. This way, the fur hangs down to the side and 
rainwater runs off well.

@naki-katy: " For our second mix we travelled to magical Tulum, Mexico! This mix is the recording of our opening set for the incredible Jungle Heart Decompression party which took place deep in the Mayan jungle on the night of January 10 2016.

With this set we hoped to bring our fellow Jungle Hearts a mix of slow, groovy cumbia, ancient-sounding melodies, and plenty of wildlife, from monkeys to birds! We were honored to open the night for an incredibly diverse and talented lineup - these artists helped create one of the most special nights any of us Hearts had ever experienced: @chillfaizon, @golden-ratio, Valentin, @joillrythms, @kmln-berlin, @djsabo, El Rojo, @seth-schwarz, and @besvendsen.

I was introduced to the Project Heart community about 3 years ago through my girlfriend, Mai, and ever since have felt increasingly thankful for finding this community.  I think of Project Heart as my tribe.  Our wonderful faeries, Ani and Silvi, have created something very special.

As a small passion project, I'm assisting the faeries with the Project Heart online music presence via Soundcloud.  The importance of music in Project Heart can't be overstated (one of many important elements of PH, to be sure).  While we all have varying tastes and interest levels, its the reason most of us have met one another...a starting point on the path to deeper connections.

To that end, let me present the very first Project Heart 'Heartcast' from yours truly, STOA aka Matt Wagner.  Since beginning to DJ about 18 months ago, Ani and Silvi have shown such love and support for my music, including the opportunity to play at last year's Jungle Heart Decompression.

This mix is a representation of the Deep House that has been catching my ear recently, and a good introduction to Stoa, in general.  Hope you enjoy.

As such, it’s a blend of my favourite desert-inspired sounds, both old and new. It’s far from perfect, being my second time playing in front of a crowd – but it comes from the heart!

I met Bert two years ago when me and the PH family from San Francisco welcomed him to Chemuyil.  I quickly felt a bond with Bert, and was lucky to meet Stijn last year.  They are two of the big reasons I decided to return to Tulum this year, and I speak for many when I say they continue to inspire with their music.  Love you guys and keep sharing your gift <3

Powlina is a Stockholm based Finnish-Iranian citizen of the world, collecting sounds from all around the globe. Playful, beautiful melodies and vocals with heart and soul, mixed with groovy beats catches her attention. Come along for the ride, and enjoy the wondrous tunes the world has to offer!

The lucky number 13 comes from Sebastian Ayala ( @seboayala ). Hailing from Neuquen, Patagonia, there's a sense of detail and perfectionism in his track selection and the way he blends melodies that reminds of a dreamer facing the picturesque landscape of the southernmost tip of South America. 

We've met Sebastian this past winter in Tulum, his homebase and developed a friendship based on appreciation of music, artists and the the good dancefloors around town <3

Super happy to welcome TantRut with his musical gift, just days after he  enchanted us with a mesmerizing journey in a castle outside of Stockholm for a Secret Sangha event (collaboration with Project Heart) ! HIGHLIGHT ***

"TantRut  (@tantrut) moved to the tiny Swedish island Brännö after seven wild years in Berlin. There he got inspired on legendary full moon beach raves to pick up DJing. His mixes contain tracks with elements of deep tribal dance music, folkloric sounds and rhythms in a modern electronic house version. He sparkles with energy and ideas to co-create events and is a regular DJ at burning man related festivals around the world. After AfrikaBurn festival he decided to donate all DJ Revenues to the Bridges for Music charity that supports less fortunate artists from townships in Cape Town."

Our connection to Turkey is no secret to anyone who follows Project Heart! We love our community there, the land, the people, the music....
This edition, we have invited Headwaters to share their love for music with us. Headwaters is an electronic music collaboration of  Engin Ozbatir and Onur Okutan.

"In 2010, Engin, whose interest in electronic music has dramatically increased by means of the decisive influence of numerous local and foreign musicians that he has listened at “1888-Nightclub” in Izmir,  started his career at the relevant club as Resident DJ
Onur has started his performing career via playing electro guitar by his early age and carried on his passion by composing his own songs.
Throughout his bachelor degree he had the chance to improve his competency on playing numerous instruments including but not limited to piano, violoncello and trumpet.

In recent years, as he has moved his productivity to electronic music, by the inspiration drawn from the infinity of the sounds used during production process, he decided to have his master degree on sound engineering.

Onur met Engin in 2016 via sending his song and their passion for techno music had brought them together so that they started to produce together under the name of Headwaters.
Consequently, Headwaters has existed via combination of music knowledge and instrument skills of Onur and wide electronic music experience of Engin. They have been blending their melodic musical infrastructure with techno music in his setlists which include their own productions as well"

Radio Rapha loves music. no, wait. Radio Rapha LOVES music!

He wanders through the world with open ears and absorbs whatever sounds interesting to him. Over the years he incorporated many different acoustic styles of music from all over the world into his DJ sets. 

Through friendship with the founders of the legendary Bar25, he first came into contact with electronic music and fell in love.
He discovered that this type of electronic music, in its simplicity and with its repetitions, was able to interlace with the primary found acoustic sounds and atmospheres. Being a vagabond at heart, he is still discovering new dimensions and endless combinations and sees himself as an advanced beginner in a time of exploration. 

Sticking to moods rather than musical genres, he’s constantly pushing
towards a journey through new landscapes: through the desert, over the sea and into the jungle - living among the mountains.

Radio Rapha is a founder of the DJ-collective «Laschan Laschan» which aims to spread organic and open minded electronic music in their surroundings. They regularly organize the Downtempo-Event «Club Lento» in Bern.

We've met Perry in Mexico where he joined one of our Heartribe gatherings (www.heartribe.space ). It was pure connection of love from the beginning. His willingness to share his talents and skills and his determination for following what feels good, rather than what is trending made him such a good match for our family.

Tisko is a Hamburg based liveact, DJ-duo and producerteam. Since 2014 they play festivals and parties beyond german borders.
