This session has so much personality to it musically. Since we are about to do  a massive and rare collaboration with Team Supreme, we thought it would be a good idea to get some of the guys from the TS crew to stop by, drop set, and promote this Tuesday's event (Team Supreme x Soulection Takeover @ The Echo - Tuesday, Aug. 20th). We hit up Colta and he brought Kenny Segal and Elos by to drop sets. All of these guys have so much experience and depth in the LA Beat Culture and beyond. Colta dropped a quick teaser of what's to come for Tuesday's event. Unfortunately, the live recording had some technical difficulties and Kenny/Elos' set couldn't be included! Very unfortunate, however we made sure to fill in their hour with solid selects to try and make up for their great set.

Aside of Colta, Kenny, and Elos, Joe Kay showcased brand new exclusive material from the gifted vocalist Jordan Rakei as well as Lakim who is getting close to featuring his next Soulection release! Talk about an educational session. Due to all the adversity we went through with this show we had LIKE play music past the last hour and extend all the way for a total of 3 hours & 39 minutes. From the very first minute to the very end we were providing music that you never heard of or forgot about, configuring wires, figuring out audio issues, chopping it up about food, you name it. So much effort went into producing this show. We want to thank our brother LIKE for rolling through and blessing us with a proper DJ set, freestyle over Esta's beat, and talking to us about his experiences growing up and being in Pac Div. This man has traveled the world, played alongside the best in the game, and has also produced for/with the best (Kendrick, The Neptunes, ect). Joe Kay made sure to touch on topics that are very insightful. LIKE will be releasing with us on Soulection so stay tuned! We'll be back next week with Dream Koala and another heavy session for you.

Coming off Grammy week connections and our 3 Year Anniversary we returned for yet another solid show. Our special guests who were scheduled for this show couldn't make it but Joe Kay brought out a variety of new and classic gems from the Soulection crates. This show was really engaging because Joe reached out to all the listeners and asked the audience what they wanted to hear via social media. It was amazing to see how many people were listening and how many people requested for a certain track. For the last hour and 1/2 you the people we're DJ'ing/selecting music! How amazing right?
