When you know your time at a certain beloved place is coming to an end, it leaves you in a state of emptyness and sadness. After KRTS toured his successful LP The Dread of an Unknown Evil, left with only one pair of boots and a few spare clothes of baggage, @KRTS obtained his visa and began a new life as The Foreigner in Germany.

The Foreigner is looking through an alien's eyes from the first step of landing on new soil. The outsider position - Not knowing the language, direction, new set of rules, personalities, and learning how to become a part of a new society.

KRTS's often approach to music creation normally follows zero rules and boundaries of genres. This time, KRTS welds together influences of genres but, places them in a bubble of hard hitting Boom-Bap HipHop percussions, thumping bass-lines, and combines a melodramatic set of layered vocals sung by KRTS with rows of melodies that weave in and out creating various atmospheres within one song. As if creating different cities inside one country.

"The glow of the sun peeked out over mounds of snow, the flakes falling faintly, silver and dark. In this haze I saw Berlin for the first time: gray upon gray, the new world transplanted into the old. There were people of all sorts—specks of color shifting among shades of black—taking bottles from the local späti—sometimes even their own silverware—onto the streets, into the open air. I observed the bustle of Kottbusser Tor and the swarms protesting for equality, fists raised in unison, chanting a language both odd and familiar. Aged locals, youthful hipsters, dirty punks, and hippies all gathered around a street market filled with vendors selling Turkish, German, and African cuisines. The smells were as intoxicating as the strangeness, the allure of those unfamiliar tastes.

I let my guard down. I saw a cop and for once I didn't recoil at the thought of being picked out for a stop-and-frisk. My breathing slowed; I thought about past loves. Then I picked up my pace to a run.

At the sunrise I pause, still, sometimes, on the bridge near the U-Bahn at Warschauer Strasse. This is not my home. Here, for the first time in my life, I am the foreigner."

This December we will be releasing the sophomore album by Polish producer Blossom @lublossom, entitled „The Longest Journey“ on vinyl. As a bonus we added his debut album „Blue Balloons“ to the package, which will be pressed on vinyl for the first time.

"The Longest Journey" (2013) represents the musical journey of Łukasz Czajewski, depicting a one year cycle in his life, rich in thoughts, important life-events and experiences. He processed influences like nature, mind-created images and innervisions to create an album about one's journey into the understanding of the world, soul, consciousness and creation. While seasons came and went, he reflected on these events and gained valuable experiences. Every single track has its unique meaning and is a part of this inner expedition. Ultimately, it all comes down to one question: Where are YOU heading in Your journey?

Several months of hard work between January 2010 and October 2011 resulted in "Blue Balloons", an album filled with delicately arranged downtempo guitar motifs, distinctive complex rhythms and complementing rich basslines, all encased in the unique aura that sorrounds Blossom's debut album and gives it a deeply atmospheric feel.

For Samuel Evans, or Rain Dog, creating this album was a vast experiment to combine different attempts of blending more traditional elements of song writing and composition with the more contemporary influences of modern electronic dance and bass music, all within the confines of his computer and chair...

Being compelled by melody and variation, Rain Dog, by his own admission, never had much talent for songwriting in terms of lyrics. To circumvent this, however, he focuses on creating a narrative within the music through the combination of synth work and samples. He starts with anything that sparks an interest or emotion in him - Tom Waits, Joni Mitchel, Ella Fitzgerald, Portico Quartet and moments from movies, samples like these usually work as a foundation for the tracks. He then adds layers of unique and organic synth sounds (a notion he finds quite interesting when working entirely from a digital platform) before eventually completing the production with the beat. He likes his music like a nice pie - warm, hearty, and crusty.

PMC125 - Rain Dog 'Two Words' Album Snippet (Project: Mooncircle, Jan 10th 2014)

A master of lovelorn emotional surrender, Volor Flex brings his narrative to an end with Sabo, his fourth and last album under this alias. The reasons are only his to know, but Volor Flex certainly won't be this producer's final musical persona. Parts of Sabo already hint at subtle changes in direction and style - natural consequences of artistically perfecting oneself - showcasing even more of Volor's expert manipulation of samples and composer skills. 

Volor Flex's reputation and popularity have been steadily on the rise for the past two years; he has released 3 albums and 3 EPs, all representative of what it means to brilliantly adapt the specifics of a signature style while living up to the staple sound itself. The man who has been referred to as Burial 2.0, Alex Frolov of Syktyvkar, Komi Republic, Russia delivers us a complete, 20-track long, intensely introspective album, possibly his finest work to date. 

Sabo is laden with familiar bittersweet moods made of crisp, dancy garage breaks paired with artfully constructed soundscapes as fragile as glass that Volor peels back until they break apart and fade away. All twenty tracks enclose the darnkess of the boreal forest, the harshness of the tundra, the anxiousness of isolation, the solace of being lost in thought and the memories of a loved one. Volor Flex adds a new expanse to the timeless comfort area that he's been building and has now completed, a place of relief and daydreaming the listener will repeatedly want to come back to.

We're back to England, after our brief Acid trip to America on our previous release.
But if the land is different, and no 303 are lurking in the dark here, the mood and feel of XY-Me's new release is not miles away from the industrial darkness of the Pink Skull record.

John-Paul Denton's is one of those rare producers than manage to make his music sound edgy and sleek at the same time. His project XY-Me (working closely with the Newcastle producers of People Get Real) has already got us used to some seriously strong grooves and production and he's not letting us down here.

"Kirt Aim" and "Fearless" are two slices of brooding techno boasting mean grooves and cinematic textures, both carried by deep basses and an acute sense of what make people dance.

"Kirt Aim", the more energetic of the two tracks, is centred on a repetitive underground bass motif with rolling percussion reverberating over it, and short synth bursts creating a seriously claustrophobic vibe throughout.
"Fearless" slows the tempo down a bit as well as making things a bit brighter. The bass moves around the beat while clear synth lines resonate and bounce around giving the track a retro filmic "synth music" vibe. Filter movements, riding hats, and an interesting use of syncopation keep the track pace on the edge and make sure you'll stay on the dance floor.

John Paul says that they like to explore new directions on every release, citing Isolee and Caribou as influences for this one.This can be heard in the sense of movement of both pieces, developing subtly over low slung grooves, rolling percussion and very musical arrangements.

XY-Me's music has already found a strong support on the dance scene with the likes of Daniel Avery, Jacques Renault, Tim Paris and Justin Robertson, all playing their music, and this is not likely to change!

Netherlands based producer http://soundcloud.com/sjoerd_n (Levingtquatre) has been pursuing a notably liberal path over the last year, embracing a selection of genres and influences to create a warming soundtrack that suits both cosy nights in and late nights out. 

Atmosphere and ambiance are at the forefront of Levingtquatre’s music, combining emotional synths with grainy textures wrapped around a diverse set of foundations that differ from track to track, be it garage, leftfield, nu soul or more often than not, a combination of all three. 

The self released ‘Leisure EP’ served as an introduction to the world, featuring on a handful of renowned blogs, and as intended this paved the way for more material to follow. This came in the form of a remix EP, and a free release entitled the ‘All Talk EP’ on Immersed Audio’s IA Records, quickly gaining the support of many of their contacts. 

Definitely one to keep under the radar, with new music being made as we speak we can look forward to a galvanizing and diverse year ahead.
