ALBUM INFO:

"This album is a series of songs from a flood of inspirations in 2015. After writing song after song and giving them titles, we stumbled upon Dante’s “Divine Comedy” and the story struck a chord with us. “Divine Comedy”’s story about travelling down to Hell, through to purgatory, then from Heaven to reality turned out to be the same theme. This is when we decided to use Gustave Dóre’s illustration from “Divine Comedy”’s last scene as the main cover.

Not long after, by pure luck once again, our long-time friend Jeremy (the owner of our American label Temporary Residence) had his first-born. She was named Ely. Jeremy had been sending us photos and her heartbeats from long before she was born. When Ely was born, we decided to dedicate one of our songs to her, with hopes of her listening to it when she is grown up, and decided to use her heartbeats as an intro on “Ely’s Heartbeat”.

Through this album, we hope you can experience all life’s elements, from death and life, body and soul, hope and hopelessness, light and darkness, respect and honour transferred through generations, and new life."

'Let Your Dogtooth Grow' was once again recorded and produced by the legend that is Marta 'bueno' Salogni. It features our first (but certainly not last) outing with the Mini Moog, which oscillates freely throughout the closing minute of the track. Furthermore, the outro to the song becomes a melting-pot of our influences, combining guitar riffs reminiscent of Turkish psychedelic musician, Mustafa Ozkent with the Moog Synth riff which is redolent of Donna Summer's 'I Feel Love'. 
 
Taking influence from Lanthimos’ abstruse, fictitious world where kids are brainwashed into thinking that they are confined within the boundaries of their household until their ‘Dogtooth’ falls out, the lyrics discuss how in reality, people our age face similar (albeit less bizarre) forms of oppression. 
Whilst we’re much more than a stones throw away from knocking our teeth out in order to break from the omnipresent restrictions us teenagers and young adults face, it’s still something that really bugs us as a ‘young band’! When are you gonna let us out of the house?

Let Your Dogtooth Grow is the first single from The Orielles' debut album 'Silver Dollar Moment' set for release in February 2018 on Heavenly Recordings.

PROJECTOR - Break Your Own Heart

Since they formed, Brighton’s PROJECTOR have stubbornly gone their own way. Bringing angular industrial drum machines to hook laden alt-rock, and lush melody to frenzied post-punk, the band have never hesitated to prioritise sonic breadth and an experimental attitude to pop. It’s this confidence in craft that have lead them to tour Europe with rock giants Cleopatrick while simultaneously haunting the airplay of BBC Radio 6’s left field Steve Lamacq and Amy Lamé shows.

PROJECTOR deal in nuance of expression and the true insanity and grit of modern life, psyche and politics (although they don’t like to talk about lyrics.) With the same attitude to recording, PROJECTOR have kept a firm grip over their creative output by producing and recording themselves for the last few years.

PROJECTOR’s debut album ‘NOW WHEN WE TALK IT’S VIOLENCE’ moves effortlessly between artful derangement, aggression and the pop hooks that have regularly seen the band gatecrash the mainstream rock scene. At times it’s drenched in the dark, industrial brutalism of Joy Division, at others it’s a spectacular of hyperactive, Squid-flavoured rant-pop. The album features climaxes that stagger into acid-soaked country, warped with drum machines and lush harmonies, before leaping into blisteringly paranoid Incesticide-era grunge, topped with melting Lana Del Rey-flavour choruses.

Above all, the band’s tightly wound intensity drives the album with the strange fervour of early Pixies that reflects the energy of their live show. PROJECTOR will celebrate their debut with a UK and EU tour, starting February 2024.
