It’s been a crazy summer over here in the world of Proper Motion, so I’m beyond excited to present my new EP “Keep It Rollin’” to all of you at long last!  These are a collection of melodic, soul-driven songs that have become closest to my heart.  They are about getting up, moving forward, and finding peace within yourself.

Shoutout to Canvas for the beautiful lyrics, Andrew Clymer for the groovy baselines, Lev at Wavelength and Anthony Cole for the album art, EDM Network, Souls in Action and Tsunami Music Publicity, Matt from RPM for the second ear, Nick Lucini at Finality Mastering and of course all the Proper family out there listening. Bryx is back! After a lengthy hiatus the Canadian beat smith is back with new music in the form of this amazing EP on Bombstrikes. Those who have been waiting for the Shambhala Music Festival regular to return will not be disappointed. Famed for his outlandish DJ skills, Bryx applies the same precision and quality control to his productions. Three tracks to choose from, starting with 'This Is It'. Strings meld with boom bap rhythms and intense bass to create something of a dance floor destroyer. 'Up in The Place' maintains the high quality levels, fusing hip hop with a heavy dose of Bass. Proper Motion was created to take that which we love most about music and reawaken it with the ever-expanding possibilities of EDM. With a vibrant foundation in the passionate sounds of classic soul, producers Noah Marion and Harrison Watkins have ventured to create a sound that is both cutting-edge and nostalgic. 

Strong dedication to electronic production and a rich background in musical composition and performance spurred Marion and Watkins to create Proper Motion in Boulder, Colorado in 2011. From the beginning, the product was an exciting and heartfelt sound that has since come to be called Future Soul. It is based on the idea that in this quickly changing, brave new future of EDM, there will always be the human core, exemplified here through soul music, that creates an emotional bond with what we hear, feel, and do.

Since its genesis, Proper Motion has earned themselves loyal followings in a number of markets, toured throughout the Southeast and the Rocky Mountains, and shared the stage with incredibly talented artists like Break Science, GRiZ, Chali 2na, PANTyRAiD, Big Gigantic, Lotus, Beats Antique, Project Aspect and many more. 2014 will bring the release of their second full-length album, titled “Soul Food”, along with a number of shows in both new and established markets. With optimism and feverous dedication, the group takes a step forward into the latest chapter of Proper Motion.
