Next up on @idlecellars mix series we have a dear friend, legendary Dj, selector and producer @felix-dickinson blessing us with his unique style and effortless flow. Some sweet unknowns and a few lost classics thrown in, a perfect journey from start to finish.

Felix has been part of the UK's underground dance scene for the last 3 decades, learning his trade DJing at free parties and illegal raves and co-founding his first record label Ugly Music in the 90's. He's produced records for well renowned record labels worldwide including DFA, Rush Hour, Eskimo, Golf Channel, Claremont 56, Futureboogie and his own label Cynic.

He has secured slots at well known clubs and festivals across the globe, and the last few years have seen him receive a lot more attention due to his high profile residencies for Block 9 (Glastonbury) and Croatia’s Love International as well as regular appearances at Houghton, Gottwood, Thailand’s Wonderfruit festival and regular tours of Japan, the USA and beyond.
 
Felix:

"The brief for this mix was something that you could listen to with a glass of wine in your hand as the sun goes down. It’s a pretty mellow early evening selection, something you can unwind to at the end of the day, but get’s a little more lively as the second and third glass goes down, so could just as easily be something to bung as you’re getting ready to go out."

Felix Dickinson - Sundowner

Paul Hillery is the main man behind Folk Funk & Trippy Troubadours. A hugely respected collector of private press obscurities, Paul is well known in collectors circles for his deep digging adventures and his immersive mix series on the Folk Funk & Trippy Troubadours blog. Paul has gained a reputation as the go-to man for labels and compilers seeking information pretty much unavailable anywhere on the net.

Check out his latest compilation on BBE, following up last years critically acclaimed We Are The Children Of The Sun. Andrew Male of MOJO Magazine calls the album 'One of the most emotionally uplifting and hazily beautiful compilations of recent years'.

Paul has provided a superb mix for the series, encompassing an eclectic and broad range of global sounds and rare finds.
