Right back to the (very) oldskool this week to the birth and peak of bouncy techno in the early to mid-nineties, Scott Brown was obviously instrumental producing a massive amount of high quality music but also Bass Generator and his label played an underrated part, in this mix I try to capture that early rough chaotic style (including slightly dodgy working a mix style mixing), as heard on the waltzers at suspect fairgrounds around the country at the time, enjoy !

Proper Oldskool are redefining the word oldskool, with up to date exclusive bootlegs & mash ups interpreted into their energetic sets, Paul D, DJ Oldskool & JB have entertained and inspired crowds young and old(skool) whereever they go.

Their fresh outlook on the oldskool vibe has helped keep their sets different to many oldskool DJ's, blowing up venues and festivals since they started gigging in 2009. They really hit the map in Summer 2009 when they headlined the Boombus at T In The park on the Saturday night and were voted on Forth FM as a highlight at T In The Park ( pretty awesome considering the line up that year) as as a result were booked to headline the Boombus again in 2010.... the only time an artist has headlined T In The Park 2 years in a row.

The boys also supported The Complete Stone Roses 2 years in a row on the Scottish leg of their UK tours and were personally asked by the band to remix their track " Tell Me Moses" in 2009. 

Events played so far include : T In The Park, EH1, Fantazia, Rezerection, Fantasylands, Coloursfest, Judgement Day, Anthem City & Selektance. 

The proper Oldskool DJ's are : Paul D, DJ Tony Oldskool & JB. Each bring a uniquie talent to the table and this is what makes this DJ team the best Oldskool DJ's in the UK. 

Here to listen to all the old skool rave, techno and hardcore that I grew up with in the early nineties. A lot of the mixes in my old skool playlist I originally owned on cassette tapes lol
