In dieser Sendung von "Radio Impuls" spreche ich mit Chris Cameron aka @aabelian, ebenfalls Crewmitglied bei Impuls, über den Autonomic Sound, eine Spielart des Drum & Bass, die Ende der 2000er bzw. Anfang der 2010er Jahre aufkam und ihren Namen von dem Podcast „Club Autonomic“ hat (https://www.club-autonomic.com/). Wir werden einerseits über diese Ursprünge, aber auch über aktuelle Releases sprechen, die als gegenwärtige Forstsetzungen der Ideen und Konzepte dieses Sounds gesehen werden können. Anschließend spielen wir noch ein b2b.

Bei "Radio Impuls" geht es grundsätzlich um elektronische Musik. Im Zentrum stehen dabei die Neugier für den Sound, die Geschichte und die Entwicklungen von experimentelleren Genres, die sich an den Grenzen der Clubmusik entwickeln. Im Fokus stehen die Fragen, wie verschiedene Subgenres sich gegenseitig beeinflussen, wie dies mit der subkulturellen Szene, bestimmten Künstler*innen, Labeln und Orten zu tun hat. Auf der Sound-Ebene ist die Sendung damit die Fortsetzung dessen, was die Impuls Crew in Freiburg (https://soundcloud.com/impuls-crew) durch Auflegen und das Veranstalten von Partys unter anderem beabsichtigt: Neugier zu schaffen, um neugierig zu bleiben für andere, neue Left-Field-Sounds innerhalb der elektronischen Clubmusik.

Radio Impuls w/ montage & abelian @ Radio Dreyeckland - 19.03.2023

The other podcast is by our close friend and Chaya co-founder Dr. Schock. This is the second time she appears in our soundcloud-biosphere, the first time was a live recording from Blechsonne festival, where she tore apart the floor. This one exists on the more mellow side of the fast+nice musical spectrum. Break- and jungle influenced drums walk you through the mix as a common theme. With airy pads floating above it picks up pace into techno-ish trance territory without loosing its dreamy touch for long. This mix fits perfectly into the "other" side of our sound, showcasing some breaks and general diversity apart from the "harder, faster, stronger" approach we've been showing in the last months. Take this as a little foreshaddowy hint on what's coming with our next event. We've got two international artists, announcement around the corner. Enjoy this mix!

Bianco is an ‘almost’ Leipzig-based (coming soon ;)) DJ, who started out djing 2018 in Jena and now has come full circle by hosting her own FLINTA* DJ workshop. Bianco is also part of the Jena based collective @tkkg-jena and this year joined EXCT out of Erfurt. Though hip hop has been her big love since twelve years old, her current sound is a mixture between progressive house, breakbeat and electro, deeply influenced by labels such as @kalaharioystercult, @craigie-knowes or @x-kalay.

Influenced by the Ballroom culture and vocals, they curate vibrant sets. Beyond breaks, she also goes by her second alias 'ANKA' and is a part of the Italo Fundamentalo crew. As ANKA, she delves into Disco and House and organizes a queer FLINTA (women, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans, and queer) party called "Disco Sprizz".
