Responsible for over a century of tracks across a plethora of leading imprints, Dabeat & Kamilo Sanclemente are a production powerhouse. Now making their Proportion debut, the duo showcase their "Interstellar Pulse / Night Clouds" EP.

Hugely successful artists in their own their own rights, Dabeat & Kamilo Sanclemente have formed a prolific and fruitful creative partnership since a debut remix of Alfonso Muchacho's "Things Change" on Stellar Fountain in 2016. Since then, the Colombian duo have seen their original work feature on the likes of Timeless Moment, Perfecto Black, Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and D-Nox's Sprout. A partnership that commands respect and support from a global fraternity of fans and peers alike, Dabeat and Kamilo Sanclemente now join forces once more with a pair of original offerings on Dmitry Molosh's ever-impressive label.

"Interstellar Pulse" quickly gathers pace with its pounding kick and complex rhythmic arrangement. Evolving easily through its club-friendly character, a sub-bassline syncopates tightly against the grooved backdrop before a series of light and airy melodic phrases complement each other. Cascading and entwined with interlocking threads, they juxtapose against the weight of the bass and kick. An additional series of components arrive at the breakdown courtesy of new sustained bassline and cadenced synth motif before hitting its stride once more in the third movement to devastating dancefloor effect.

Following the rhythmic narrative of its partner track, "Night Clouds" is infused with a sultry bass presence, rolling groove and shaker-infused top-line. Developing with consummate ease and intimate dancefloor knowhow, a central melody shines brightly through a meticulously assembled cast of sonic characters as it coruscates gently through the early stages in shimmering delays. Finding new direction after a pause for breath at the spine-tingling mid-section, a popping, cadenced synth line opens up post-breakdown to create a new focus in the second half before the familiar motif returns to glorious open-filtered effect in the final stages.

A pair of new tracks find Dabeat and Kamilo Sanclemente as a central star in the progressive house firmament with "Interstellar Pulse / Night Clouds".

Rounding out the month of October, Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Dabeat to the label for his debut EP. Sitting as one of Colombia's premiere progressive house talents, David Barragan aka Dabeat has enjoyed a steady rise since first emerging in 2008 with a release courtesy of Beatfreak Recordings. The next decade saw David perfect his craft with a sound that many describe as groovy, dynamic and emotional. Now laying claim to an impressive discography, the Santiago de Cali resident has showcased his music via Cid Inc's Replug Records, Nick Warren's Hope Recordings, Clubsonica Records, Mango Alley and Proton Music, while continuing to receive play and support from the genre's premiere tastemakers. Now continuing what has been an inspired year, Dabeat makes his Movement Recordings debut with a four-track showcase entitled 'Resonance'.

Selection two finds Dabeat collaborating with frequent studio partner and progressive music star Kamilo Sanclemente. Long regarded as one of Colombia's foremost electronic music talents, the Cali resident has found a home on Anjunadeep, Clubsonica, Songspire and The Soundgarden, while earning continued support from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy J. Now paired with Dabeat once again the duo deliver the EP's title selection 'Resonance'. Tight and rhythmic in all the right ways; fiery percussion and wavy arps set the course for aural enlightenment. Emotive chord changes transcend time and space across the first act, providing a poignant anchor for metallic motifs and shapeshifting melodies to work their magic during a thrilling conclusion.

PREMIERE: Dabeat & Kamilo Sanclemente - Resonance [Movement Recordings]

Hernan Cattaneo returns home with his studio partners Soundexile. However the boys have let some of their best friends and favourite remixers do the hard work this time, as two of the labels previous monsters have been reworked for 2014. 
Starting with Altair, a track directly coming from the last Cattaneo’s Masters Series CD, and its Hernan´s fav Guy J on remix duties. His trademark infectious vibe is injected here, with his magical spell cast over this mysterious soundscape with warm layers of sounds interlocking as the journey develops. This is both deep and melancholic, yet uplifting and epic, showcasing Guy's golden studio productions to the max! 
The second remix is of Infoxication and again in we went to Israel with two label favourites teaming up as Guy Mantzur and Lonya collaborate. This enigmatic reworking is a deep yet sprightly encapsulating voyage with its feet firmly on the dance floor, while its tonality and effects circulate around its cavernous grotto of sound.

PREMIERE: Mareveg - Proyecto X [Traful]

Cid Inc's Replug Records ushers in the summer season by welcoming Kamilo Sanclemente and David Barragan to the label for their debut EP. The former, long regarded as one of Colombia's premiere progressive house talents has found a home on Balance Music, Beat Boutique and Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank Records, while earning continued support from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy J. The latter, also hailing from Colombia and perhaps better known to progressive music fans as Dabeat, has adopted his given name for this distinguished project. Much like Kamilo, David has showcased his music on a wide assortment of the underground's premiere imprints, most notably Beatfreak Recordings, Hope Recordings and Proton Music. As frequent studio partners in the past, Kamilo and David now debut on Replug with 'Time Writer'. 

Drawing on a variety of fresh designs and sleek rhythmic concepts the EP begins with its title and showcase piece 'Time Writer'. On a backbone of warm beats comes smooth contoured bass and a lively percussive cadence. Subtle yet stirring, an atmospheric glow encases the framework, as gentle arps and effervescent effects converge in a perfect sonic marriage. The narrative shifts as the breakdown commences with a buzzing lead line set atop a redolent backdrop. Trance inducing and hugely poignant, its euphoric nature sets the course towards a musically enlightened finale. 

The companion piece 'Relive' continues the trance inspired themes of its predecessor.  From its full, wonky groove comes spacey effects and hypnotic arps. Ghostly vocals and placid atmospheres build an emotive resonance across the first movement, perfectly segueing into an expansive centrepiece. A realm within the story, the break melts down to a stunning display of reflective melodies, free flowing in nature and elevating the mood before playing out over a colourful final act.

Having recorded more than thirty productions since the inception of their partnership, the creative synergy between Kamilo and David continues to grow. Their Replug debut sees a further evolution in their collaborative journey, with two creations that once again find them at the forefront of the progressive movement.
