Synthetic Ignorance EP by Zurich based John Parsley is a reflection of the current madness human kind is going through right now. Hyper capitalism, state surveilance, shifting values, mental health disruptions and loss of trust leads us to a new synthetic ignorance in our society. John Parlsey composed his debut release on Lustpoderosa using his very own interpretation of a post minimal wave synth aesthetic. It came out as magical dark and gloomy four tracker which is packed with immersive rhytms, weird staccato voices, claustrophobic acid lines paired with hopeful melodies. This project emerges as the very first Digital/Vinyl on Demand hybrid release by Lustpoderosa. 100 Limited black Vinyl a 140g.

Throne of Blood winds down 2022 and our 16th year of unearthing oddball anthems and dancefloor smashers with the fourth of four anniversary EPs.

Kicking things off is long-time label affiliate and mega talent Daniel Avery who follows his recent Ultra Truth album with “Ricochet,” a skuzzed-up slice of moody techno.

Next is “Nylon Future,” a massive jam with dark energy from NYC stalwart and label newcomer, Heidi Sabertooth.

The balance of the EP comes from Japanese producers Que Sakamoto and Hoshina Anniversary, who deliver two wildly contrasting visions that express the sonic diversity of the label. “Kakegae” is a wildly psychedelic banger punctuated by odd chimes, acid squiggles, and an insistent groove. “Eiroku,” on the other hand, lands in Mr. Fingers territory, with a bassline that recalls “Mysteries of Love” overlaid with traditional Japanese instrumentation. It’s deep without ever sliding into the predictable or cliché. 

And with that, it’s on to the next… Keep your eyes open and your ears dialed in. There’s more to come from Throne of Blood!

This is a compilation comprising of across-the-board electronic vibes, taking in midtempo beats, through deep house, electronica & tougher tech sounds, all in aid of the Disasters Emergency Committee fundraiser for the Turkey & Syria earthquake appeal. All artists contributed their music and time for free, including mastering engineers, so there is a lot of love gone into this project. From being an idea and contacting a few people to ask of they were interested, to being finalised, mastered and released on Bandcamp took just under two weeks, with far more contributions to the project than expected. As a result, this is a compilation which showcases the desire of dance music artists to spread love and commit their work for an incredibly worthy cause.

Next up on ‘Brain Scatter’ Howieson goes in for a heavy drum workout bolstered by unique sound design and expertly crafted dynamics.

On the flip, label heads Sleep D step in and expand on the minimalism of ‘Brain Scatter’ with a hypnotic bassline and industrial leaning SFX .
